After returning home, Xia Yan plopped down on his bed, his mind a complete mess.
He truly could not understand why he had been able to harvest a Sealing Jutsu fruit from that lousy tree.
He had wondered whether he had gotten the thing because Minato Namikaze had left that seal on the tree.
After all, that was the only explanation that could explain why he had gotten it!
What frustrated him, however, was that the seeds he had obtained before did not seem to have come to him that way at all.
"Speed-type seeds came from the bamboo grove, strength-type seeds came from cypress trees, and reaction-type seeds seemed to have been an unexpected find on some flowers."
Xia Yan looked at the yellow seed in his hand, silently recalling the seeds he had obtained before.
The earth release chakra seeds, water release chakra seeds, and even senjutsu chakra seeds all came from trees or plants.
The wind release chakra seed is the only one I still haven't figured out, but that came from an unremarkable tree too.
Why was this one so special? Could the seeds I got before actually have absorbed similar powers to develop those attributes?
The more he thought about it, the more his head hurt. In the end, Xia Yan simply let out a long sigh, not bothering to think any further.
But he had also made up his mind: he had to give it a proper try!
"For example, I could have Kakashi hit a tree with Lightning Release, then try extracting something from it."
With his decision made, Xia Yan could not be bothered to agonize over it anymore. If his guess was right, he would definitely save a great deal of time in the future.
