History

Establishment and Early Management

Zhou Xun leaves Golden Springs Lane to establish his dojo at Forgetful River Lake, recruiting personnel with spirit-fish cultivation expertise. White Spirit Fairy, Wei Qiuxin, offers her services and presents a jade slip containing relevant techniques 166.

During the initial construction, the Blackscaled Armadillo moves soil, relocates stones, and builds walls. Wei Qiuxin resides on a smaller island within the protective formation, while Zhou Xun initially reserves the central island for himself and Song Yiqing 168.

Zhou Xun remains at the lake for six years before leaving to seek quasi-third-tier spiritual herbs and high-level materials. Mundane administration eventually passes largely to Wei Qiuxin, including supervision of spirit farmers and medicinal fields 174 197.

Prosperity and Refuge

Under Zhou Xun's management, the lake supplies 30% of White Cloud Immortal City's spirit fish. White Cloud True One rewards this success by granting registration of the lake under Zhou Xun's name, joking that Xu Nation may eventually possess a “Zhou Family of Forgetful River” 218.

When Heaven Feather Sect infiltrators enter Xu Nation, Zhou Xun restricts his people to within 20 li of the lake, suspends spiritual-material transactions, and distributes Escape Talismans. This perimeter corresponds to the reach of the formation at that time 285.
