Cui Xiya had a dream.
In her dream, she saw the Radiant Goddess.
What a holy, exalted being she was, the very embodiment of radiance and compassion!
She stood there, her body emitting a brilliant yet gentle light that dispelled all darkness.
Her eyes were closed, and her armless body seemed all the more compassionate, as though she were embracing the entire world.
"Praise the Radiant Goddess!"
"Praise the Holy Light!"
Like a devout pilgrim who had finally seen her god, Cui Xiya cried out in praise, her eyes filled with fervor.
Perhaps her voice had reached her, for the goddess reacted, responding to her praise.
"I won't let you die!" the Radiant Goddess said.
Cui Xiya trembled with excitement, wrapping her arms around herself in a Radiant Salute. "Praise the Radiant Goddess... praise... praise..."
The words she had wanted to say suddenly caught in her throat.
The Radiant Goddess had opened her left eye. Inside were three gelatinous black eyeballs, constantly rotating, their tiny yellow pupils sweeping wildly over their surroundings.
"Praise... praise..."
Cui Xiya was dumbstruck, stammering without managing a complete sentence.
"Praise... the Great Blasphemer!"
Cui Xiya's jaw opened and closed, her mouth finishing the sentence for her.
Then the statue of the Radiant Goddess shattered. Large chunks of plaster-like rubble fell away, revealing the true form of the person hidden inside-the Great Blasphemer himself!
He had a wolf's face, a charred-black body, a bloated, obese figure, three eyeballs in his left eye, and a large mouth on his belly.
At that moment, he was asleep and seemed to be dreaming.
But the mouth on his belly wasn't resting. It extended several tongues as flexible as snakes, held Cui Xiya in place, grabbed a foul-smelling Long-Legged Sardine, and stuffed it into her mouth...
"Aah!!!!!!"
A bloodcurdling scream
