The next day.
As agreed, Yang Yi carved and fitted together large pieces of lumber, finally producing a crude model house with two bedrooms and a living room.
To a human, this house was just a toy model.
But to the tiny Cui Xiya, it was a house she could actually use.
"Your craftsmanship barely qualifies you as an apprentice."
Cui Xiya had recovered somewhat and gained another pair of wings. She passed judgment on the house Yang Yi had built.
"This only counts as apprentice work?"
Yang Yi thought he had done a very good job on the house. He had even made clever use of mortise-and-tenon joints.
"Yes!" Cui Xiya nodded.
"Among Light Fairy artisans, you would have a one hundred percent chance of being eliminated and then driven out of the Holy Capital," she added.
Yang Yi shrugged.
Now that she had recovered, she was clearly harder to fool. Fortunately, her memories carried over, so she had not become an entirely different person.
Yang Yi secured the little wooden house inside the Captain's Quarters, just above the desk, for Cui Xiya to use.
And just as Yang Yi had said, none of the other crew members could probably fit inside except Cui Xiya.
"Well, this will do. I can fix it up myself later."
Once Yang Yi had installed it, Cui Xiya still nodded, grudgingly satisfied.
"You know how to do that too?"
"Of course!
"I am the erudite Cui Xiya. While my craftsmanship isn't first-rate, it's still far better than yours," Cui Xiya replied.
"Then can you make equipment too?"
Yang Yi suddenly asked, hope showing in his eyes.
If Cui Xiya could use her saliva to produce the Radiant Holy Church's standard-issue equipment, she really would be a money tree.
"Uh..."
Cui Xiya looked troubled.
