Large numbers of robots deployed, including many older-model Security Robots and a new generation of Combat Robots that had distinguished themselves in Steam Island's robot DIY event. These were likewise divided into three types.
They were the Bird-Beating Man robots, specialized for aerial combat; the Fish-Beating Man robots, specialized for underwater combat; and finally, the all-terrain, general-purpose combat robots... the Man-Beating Man.
Their names were not just strange and unpleasant to the ear. Their appearance was also hard to describe, with no aesthetic appeal whatsoever.
But their cost-effectiveness and combat performance had left the competition in the dust during the robot DIY event. They ultimately won and were requisitioned by Steam Island's authorities, while their creator received a large sum of money.
Out of respect for their creator, the strange names had been retained and became their official designations.
