Zhao Tie's home was not far from the High-Risk Ecological Isolation Zone. In fact, it was rather close, right in front of the Medical Experiment Center.
The last time Yang Yi entered the Medical Experiment Center, he had practically passed Zhao Tie's doorstep. Green Island had been nowhere near this bustling back then, and Yang Yi had not known Zhao Tie lived here.
They stopped in front of a giant tree.
The tree's trunk had been hollowed out. Judging by the windows and curtains visible from outside, the interior had probably been converted into habitable rooms, with an estimated three or four floors. The tree had not died, either; the two simply continued to coexist.

The only problem was that these means of transportation could only function normally within Green Island.
For Yang Yi, however, these mounts had another problem: a seriously inadequate carrying capacity.
The unicorn he had been riding looked about ready to give out. Upon arrival, it promptly flopped onto the ground, let out a mournful cry, and never moved again.
"Uh... you could say that. Let's talk inside."
Zhao Tie invited Yang Yi into the house, and the two entered one after the other.
The lights were on inside, their warm, pale-yellow glow illuminating a hall of several dozen square meters. It contained ordinary furniture such as tables and cabinets, much of it made from materials sourced on the spot, integrated with the tree and fixed to the floor or walls.
The interior had clearly been carefully tended, too. It was very clean, with a carpet on the floor and
