Xuandou shook his head at those words, his tone unhurried:
"There's no rush."
"Before casting Infinite Tsukuyomi, there's something else I need to do."
Black Zetsu was puzzled:
"What could be more urgent than the Ōtsutsuki?"
Xuandou turned around.
"Another Ōtsutsuki who's been sealed away!"
At those words, a powerful sense of unease immediately surged through Black Zetsu.
Sure enough, Xuandou said:
"The Sage of Six Paths' spirit met with me and warned me that an Ōtsutsuki named Kaguya is still sealed on the moon."
"The Sage of Six Paths said he couldn't kill Kaguya, so he could only seal her away. He urged me to kill her for good if possible."
"As it happens, my Rinnegan's dōjutsu is the perfect counter for that!"
"So we're heading to the moon now to kill Kaguya!"
As he spoke, Xuandou made to walk out.
Black Zetsu immediately panicked.
Disregarding his own safety, his entire body sprang up, blocking Xuandou's path:
"You can't kill her!"
Xuandou stopped and lowered his head, looking at the puddle of black substance, a cold gleam flashing through his eyes.
"Why can't I kill her?"
"Could it be... you want to betray the shinobi?"
Black Zetsu desperately tried to think of an excuse.
But he found his mind completely blank.
While he was trying to come up with a reason, Xuandou shook his head, deciding not to tease him any longer, and mercilessly exposed him.
"You're afraid I'll kill your mother, Kaguya, aren't you, Black Zetsu?"
Black Zetsu's body abruptly stiffened.
The puddle of black substance trembled violently.
Only one thought remained in his mind:
He knew. He knew all along!
He only let me fool him to watch me put on a show.
