Elliot felt a little overwhelmed by what he saw.
One puppet's arm had turned into metal armor, looking somewhat like the Machine Priest's Path, but which icon did that correspond to?
There were simply too many options for Elliot to remember them all.
Vanessa had especially many options. She had almost all the choices the others had.
"I should pick [Vitality], but which one is [Vitality]?"
Elliot looked hesitantly at a puppet in front of him with a goofy smile. It certainly looked full of vitality. Was this the one?
"Wait, I can just check which puppet Allen has! He put a point into [Vitality]!"
Elliot suddenly clapped his hands and switched straight to Allen to compare.
Soon, he found Vanessa's corresponding [Vitality] puppet.
How was he supposed to use it?
Elliot tried reaching out and tugging it.
The entire stage abruptly darkened, and a spotlight fell on the [Vitality] puppet.
It had been sitting on the stage, but seemed to come alive all at once, rising to its feet with his tug. Then it lifted its skirt slightly with both hands and curtsied to Elliot.
A humming sound rang out, and a metal rod rose behind it, holding up a small sign.
[Vitality +1]
Elliot turned to look at the puppet representing Vanessa herself and found that an [Aging] tag above her head had fallen away.
Then a new sign rose.
[Aging (recovering)]
A countdown also appeared on the flip display above the Difference Engine:
