Before Vanessa passed out, she also tossed another book into the Altar.
One book had nearly filled Vanessa's Sacrifice bar; the second filled it completely.
Trouble had struck just after Vanessa made her Sacrifice, so Elliot naturally had no time to select a node for her.
And that did not seem to be all.
Just as when she read the book brought out of Daydream before, another branch node had appeared this time.
The last time Elliot allocated points, he had used the Stage-Play Difference Engine and could not see the icon. This time, however, he could.
It was the icon of a book.
Elliot reached out and tapped it.

"Another free point of [Concealment], just as I thought. I wonder what will be special about it once it gets high enough."
His gaze returned to the trunk of the Tree of the Supernatural.
After considering it for a moment, he selected an eye icon for Vanessa.

At present, this [Spirit Vision] ability seemed to offer Vanessa the greatest improvement.
Strangely enough, Elliot had seen other supernatural people use the other abilities, but he had hardly ever seen [Spirit Vision].
Was this ability relatively rare?
Besides allocating points, Elliot also noticed something off about Vanessa's condition.
Vanessa was not simply unconscious.

The mild blood loss was probably caused by spending over ten hours drawing the Ritual, and the mental trauma was the result of meeting that being's gaze, but what did knowledge infusion mean?
She had read a book after coming out of Daydream last time too, yet no knowledge infusion had appeared.
