In Vanessa's vision, white motes of light streamed from the Lord of Dreams' corpse, slowly dispersing into the surroundings.
But before they dissipated, they all surged toward Evan instead.
Vanessa widened her eyes and looked closely. She could vaguely see the white motes clinging to him. Some simply adhered to the surface of his body, while others gradually sank deeper, merging into his flesh.
Of those that merged into his body, only some took root inside, while others moved through his body along some sort of pathways.
Like blood flowing through blood vessels, like air moving in and out of lungs.
Vanessa briefly described what she saw to Victoria.
Victoria pondered for a while, then suddenly asked an unrelated question:
"Vanessa, when you look at those Dream Creatures with [Spirit Vision], what can you see?"
Vanessa froze, then turned to look at a seahorse-like monster that had just appeared.
Under [Spirit Vision], there was nothing unusual about it.
There were no motes of light, no changes, as though it were a pile of perfectly ordinary stones.
That was certainly not normal.
In fact, even when Vanessa looked at ordinary mortals with [Spirit Vision], she could see a few scattered motes of light.
Those were flashes of spirituality.
Yet on the Lord of Dreams, there was not even a single mote of light.
And that was not all. Vanessa also remembered her earlier experience entering a dream with Flora.
Flora had [Insight into Weakness] and could see the weaknesses in all things.
Yet the Lord of Dreams had no weaknesses.
Even if it really had been a stone, Flora would still have been able to see its [Weakness].
After that seahorse monster appeared, the Communion's believers immediately opened fire on it. Bullets whistled through the air, leaving rows of bullet holes
