Cora was taken aback by the question, then hurriedly opened the folder in her hands and frantically searched through it.
"Battlefield cleanup... collecting bodies... Dream Creatures... ah, here it is!"
Cora picked up the documents and quickly read through them:
"The corpses of Dream Creatures killed on the battlefield are generally stockpiled for research or experiments... but if stored for a long time, these corpses slowly dissipate."
"Dissipate?"
"That's right. Like ice placed in water, they gradually disappear at an extremely slow rate. No one knows where they go. The Expedition Army tried putting them in sealed containers, but that still couldn't stop them from disappearing."
Elliot frowned. He remembered the countless tiny points of light that had emerged from the Lord of Dreams' corpse when he resurrected Elsa.
Elsa had absorbed many corpses. After the White Light Spots poured out of those corpses and flowed toward her, the corpses would gradually disappear too.
Elliot had never thought there was anything wrong with that.
In the Dream, however, corpses could last a long time. At least the corpses of the Lords of Dreams killed in the Courtyard were still there, and Maeve spent all day gorging herself on them.
After all, no one in the Courtyard needed to be resurrected now. With no one absorbing the White Light Spots, the corpses remained as they were.
But why did corpses disappear on their own here in the Sea of the Moon?
Was something absorbing the White Light Spots, just as Elsa had?
But Elsa had absorbed the light to be resurrected. What was the entity in the Sea of the Moon doing it for? Could it also be...
Resurrection?
Elliot frowned. After a moment's thought, he said, "Where are they? Take me there."
"Mm, there happens to be a warehouse nearby."
