"What does that have to do with me?" Elliot fought back a laugh. "When did I ever cause trouble in your Library?"
Victoria snorted coldly and said nothing.
As she directed Vanessa to help comb out her golden hair, which had begun to tangle, she looked up at the two of them.
"Since we're all here in the Abode, we might as well give some serious thought to what comes next."
Their expressions sobered, and they grew serious.
This was indeed a major problem. After all, it wasn't just the few of them who had come in, but an entire Expedition Army.
Sidney didn't speak right away. Instead, he pointed at the ceiling overhead.
Victoria nodded in understanding. Her hair quickly rose and connected to the ceiling above.
Then she released her Spirituality. Elliot distinctly felt a slight change in the atmosphere around them, as though they had been completely enveloped in a spiderweb.
"All right, we can speak freely now. The Great Being's gaze won't fall upon this place," Victoria said softly.
She had been working on building an Abode of her own. Though success was still far away, her efforts hadn't been entirely fruitless.
Within the web-covered Library, using Spirituality to isolate a sanctuary of her own and achieve an effect similar to the Abode's protection against prying eyes was one of her accomplishments.
This was also why Lillian had insisted on finding an opportunity to come to the Library to talk, even if it meant being blown into a puddle and carried in a bucket.
Behind them, a sharp gleam flashed in Vanessa's eyes, and a hint of excitement showed through.
They specifically blocked the Lord's gaze. They must be plotting something! Luckily, I happened to be here, or the Lord wouldn't even know what happened here!
