Soon, within Moonheart, Elliot opened his eyes again.
That single use of [Spirituality Pressure] had actually consumed an entire vessel, but the results were remarkable. He had never killed so many [Worms] at once!
He might well have killed every last [Worm] in Moonheart!
That gave Elliot a glimmer of hope.
Within the Honey, Elliot quietly watched Elsa before him, waiting in silence until she slowly opened her eyes.
Elsa looked around in confusion. Her consciousness had not fully awakened, but her body could already feel something.
She instinctively wrapped both arms around herself.
For some reason, waking up felt different this time. The [Honey] around her seemed a little warmer, enfolding her in warmth like an embrace.
Many images welled up in her muddled consciousness: her sister's warm embrace and tears sliding down cheeks, weeds gradually running wild in the garden and the dust-covered swing, a little flower held between the fingers of the sleeping Clara.
"You're awake?"
Elsa suddenly came back to her senses, her gaze meeting Elliot's. "Lord..."
Looking at Elliot's impassive expression, she somehow felt reassured, even in this endless, despairing night.
"Can you still sense the [Worms]?"
Elsa closed her eyes and carefully sensed her surroundings, gently shaking her head before nodding.
"There don't seem to be any [Worms] here anymore. They've all been killed, but... they're still coming. They're gradually drawing closer again."
Elliot silently pressed his lips together.
The [Worms] still had not given up.
Even though he had put everything he had into wiping out all the [Worms] in Moonheart with one strike, he still had not stopped them from coming.
These Worms had set their sights on Elsa, and what made it hopeless was that Elliot had no way to stop them from coming either.
He lowered his eyes.
