"Are there any more? There shouldn't be, right?" Elsa looked bewildered. She gazed down at the Rift, a trace of fear flashing involuntarily through her eyes.
"Not necessarily... have you... noticed that there are... too many corpses?"
Elsa froze, then turned to look around.
Her corpses were everywhere in the sea, and new ones kept spewing out of the Rift.
And in the Abode, her corpses had almost filled an entire lake.
These were only a small fraction. Over by [Primordial Blood], the underground Rift was larger, and most of the corpses were spewing out from there.
Did she have that many corpses?
Moonheart was not actually very large. When Elliot had inspected it, he had personally reached its boundary, which was how he had estimated that they could burst it apart with corpses.
But the number of corpses in the sea here was absurd.
Elsa's expression grew strange.
At the Difference Engine, Elliot could see it more clearly.
When he had first begun gathering the Cards, there had been several stacks reaching the ceiling.
Now, he had already collected several stacks in the Abode alone, yet the remaining Cards had not diminished at all. Something was definitely wrong.
As he rapidly gathered the Cards, he did his best to spare moments to type messages to Elsa in fits and starts:
"I have a... theory."
"After [Honey]... fused with your corpses... your corpses... became manifestations of [Honey]."
Elliot's words made Elsa freeze. As though something had occurred to her, she lowered her head to look at her hands.
If a sharp blade cut her skin open, [Honey] would not flow straight out. There would be normal muscles and skeletal structures.
No one knew this better than Dorothea. Elsa had just exploded in her arms.
It was a normal human body.
