Elsa nodded in agreement.
Then the two waited quietly.
But no matter how long they waited, nothing around them changed, until, more than ten minutes later, a chance roll by [Primordial Blood] crushed them both.
After resurrecting again, Elsa's expression had become utterly solemn.
"These Worms aren't attacking me anymore!"
There was a hint of disbelief in her voice.
Back in Moonheart, she had been killed far more than thousands upon thousands of times. She had hated those [Worms] so much then that she never wanted to see them again in her life.
Yet now, it was the [Worms] that had left her first.
Elliot thought for a while. "Move farther away from me. Let's try again."
Those [Worms] never attacked him. Perhaps they had moved away from Elsa to avoid him?
The two immediately separated, but this time, neither Elsa nor Elliot was attacked.
Elsa even took the initiative to approach the [Worms], but the [Worms] avoided her instead.
"Strange. Why is this happening?!"
Elsa was bewildered.
"Let's go back to Maeve first," Elliot called to Elsa.
Both nodded. Elsa moved to meet the limb slamming down from [Primordial Blood], while Elliot relinquished control, and that body began drifting through the sea with vacant eyes.
It had only drifted for a short while when it happened to encounter another roll from [Primordial Blood].
The enormous mass of flesh came crashing down out of nowhere with crushing force, but just before it struck the vessel, the surrounding seawater suddenly stirred, carrying it out of the way.
Then, propelled along by the currents, it slowly settled on the Seabed.
It was as though an unseen hand gently tidied the body's disheveled hair, letting it lie peacefully on the Seabed.
