Wangchuan said it casually.
Loke's expression froze.
"What did you say?"
"Beat him until he accepts a master."
Wangchuan tilted his head and glanced at him. "Your son's too big for anyone to control. Then we beat him until he submits."
"That's my son."
"I know." Wangchuan's tone barely changed. "I didn't say I was going to beat him to death."
Loke opened his mouth, momentarily at a loss for words.
Sol stood beside them, lowered Mjolnir from his shoulder, and gripped it in his hand. The runes on the hammerhead flashed.
"I think that'll work."
Loke whipped his head toward him.
"Shut up."
"No."
Loke fell silent.
In the sky, Jormungandr roared again.
Just then, the enormous silver-white serpent in the sky moved.
His tail.
The tail that rose from the sea in the east and stretched westward slowly swayed in the sky.
His silver-white scales gleamed coldly in the moonlight. The tip of his tail swept through the clouds, churning the entire sea of clouds into a tangled mess.
Wangchuan's purple Lunar Phase Eyes narrowed slightly.
"Two bugs are here."
On the street below the rooftop, two figures emerged from the shadows.
Daolon Wong.
Tara.
Daolon Wong wore a black robe and held his black staff, his face showing barely restrained excitement.
"Our chance is here."
"Jormungandr is moving, the ring is loosening, and the auras at the Kan and Dui positions are in turmoil."
Tara did not reply. He simply watched the enormous serpent's tail in the sky, his slit pupils contracting slightly.
"Do it."
Daolon Wong raised his staff. The dark red light within its black gem flared, and a black beam shot from the tip straight into the sky.
But before the beam reached Jormungandr's tail, it dissipated.
