"What kind of woman do you like?"
Yuji Itadori froze for a moment.
"Is this really the right time to ask that?"
Todo waited for Itadori's answer.
The question had come far too suddenly. He had just been sent flying and crashed through a tree, and blood still clung to the corner of his mouth.
Before he had even unclenched his fists, the shirtless, muscular man opposite him suddenly asked what kind of woman he liked.
"Huh?"
"I asked what kind of woman you like." Aoi Todo's expression was serious, his tone as though he were confirming something extremely important.
Itadori wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and glanced at Toge Inumaki behind him.
Toge Inumaki shrugged. The eyes above his mask said it all: I have no idea either.
Itadori turned back to Aoi Todo.
"If I really had to say..."
"Tall."
"A woman with a big ass, like Jennifer Lawrence."
He said it openly, without any hesitation.
Aoi Todo went rigid.
He stood rooted to the spot, the muscles of his bare upper body tensing, that beastlike expression frozen on his face.
His pupils dilated.
Then.
His eyes grew wet.
"You..."
Aoi Todo's voice changed, turning hoarse and trembling.
His vision blurred, and he saw that summer.
Cicadas chirping, the sports field, the sound of a basketball hitting the ground.
He defeated several upperclassmen all by himself.
Suddenly, a woman on a motorcycle appeared before him, tall and long-haired. When she stood up, she blocked half his sunlight.
She turned and smiled at him.
"Nice fighting, boy!"
"What type of woman do you like?"
The image shattered.
