Wangchuan had just raised his hand and had yet to lower it.
Yuji Itadori rushed in, crowding up beside the bed, his eyes wide and his voice loud and urgent.
"Teacher! How is she? Is it serious?"
Wangchuan turned his head and glanced at him.
"You're even more anxious than Fushiguro."
Itadori scratched his head and stepped back, making room for Fushiguro.
Fushiguro stood at the foot of the bed without speaking, but his eyes stayed fixed on Wangchuan's face.
Wangchuan looked away and turned his attention to Tsumiki.
His voice was level and mild.

Wangchuan turned his head and glanced at him.
"Yes."
Megumi Fushiguro froze for a moment.
The expression was subtle and fleeting, but the line of his mouth did relax.
Wangchuan looked away and pressed his palm against Tsumiki's forehead.
Silvery-white light seeped from his palm.
It was very faint.
The light flowed into Tsumiki's skin like water, spreading throughout her body along her blood vessels and meridians.
Her body shuddered slightly.
Then Wangchuan slowly lifted his hand.
A dark red, thumb-sized object was caught between his fingers.
It looked like some kind of rotten fruit, its uneven surface wrapped in a thin gray-black membrane of cursed energy, still pulsing faintly.
Incarnation.
More precisely, it was Uraume's cursed object.
The mark lying dormant inside Tsumiki, left
