Masamichi Yaga's burly frame abruptly froze. He could scarcely believe his ears. In this quiet, dim workshop before dawn, the boy before him had actually uttered that term so casually!
How was that possible?!
A fully independent cursed corpse was the core, top-secret research project into which Masamichi Yaga himself had poured countless hours of painstaking effort, and he was still struggling to overcome its theoretical bottlenecks!
He had not even made any substantial breakthrough yet. More importantly, he swore he had never mentioned this almost taboo subject to Li Shunchen, or even to anyone at Jujutsu High.
Although Masamichi Yaga had indeed intended to find a suitable time to discuss this direction with Li Shunchen once the boy had progressed further in Puppet Manipulation, that time was certainly not now, much less barely a month after his enrollment!
Then how on earth did he know?! And how had he worked out this ultimate direction?!
Masamichi Yaga stared fixedly at Li Shunchen, his eyes behind his sunglasses bloodshot from sheer shock. His voice grew slightly hoarse from its uncontrollable trembling.
"You... what exactly are you talking about?!"
Li Shunchen briefly paused his carving knife. He naturally understood why Masamichi Yaga had lost his composure. Slowly turning around, he looked calmly at Masamichi Yaga with black eyes as deep as an ancient well and explained in an utterly level tone.
"Although I haven't discussed it with you beforehand, Teacher Yaga, this became my primary research focus at this stage once I understood the basic structure of cursed corpses."
Masamichi Yaga's mind buzzed. As though he had lost the ability to think, he blankly repeated Li Shunchen's words.
"Your... research focus?"
Li Shunchen nodded and slowly began to speak.
"Over this past month or so, I've learned
