Akutagawa Shang joined Jujutsu High, discovered that he could absorb cursed energy, and trained alongside Maki Zenin and the newly arrived Yuta Okkotsu. After their hospital mission awakened Yuta’s resolve to break Rika’s curse, Gojo equipped them for further training and put Akutagawa in charge of Yuta’s sword practice.

• Akutagawa Shang entered the world of jujutsu, learned to perceive and use cursed energy through training with Maki Zenin, and joined her on a mission to rescue two children from a powerful cursed spirit.
• Inside the cursed spirit, Akutagawa absorbed the trace of cursed energy limiting Maki, allowing her to reach her full physical strength and kill the curse with him.
• Akutagawa discovered he could absorb positive energy and learned Reverse Cursed Technique, then began combat training with Maki and joined Satoru Gojo to meet Yuta Okkotsu.
• Akutagawa reassured Yuta and helped bring him to Jujutsu High, where Rika emerged during his introduction before the students welcomed him.
• On a mission to an abandoned hospital, Akutagawa defeated a cursed spirit, but its domain-like transformation trapped him and Yuta inside.
• Yuta fully manifested Rika, who destroyed the cursed spirit and the hospital, and afterward Yuta resolved to break Rika’s curse at Jujutsu High.
• Gojo confronted the higher-ups over the mission and demanded Akutagawa’s promotion, while a monk-robed man picked up Yuta’s student ID and declared his interest in Rika.
• Gojo gave Yuta a tachi and Akutagawa an energy-absorbing glove, then assigned Akutagawa to train Yuta in swordsmanship and cursed energy control.

Akutagawa Shang joined Tokyo Jujutsu High’s Goodwill Event and helped Yuta Okkotsu train while Kyoto’s students secretly tried to kill him. After the assassination plan fell apart, Maki Zenin defeated Mai and Kasumi Miwa, and the team competition ended with Akutagawa destroying the captured cursed spirit.

• Akutagawa Shang rejected Suguru Geto’s plan to eliminate non-sorcerers, then told Satoru Gojo about their encounter and agreed to compete in the Goodwill Event for the promised prize money and time off.
• Akutagawa Shang took Yuta Okkotsu and Toge Inumaki on a mission, where Yuta defeated a Grade 1 Cursed Spirit while Akutagawa healed Inumaki and spotted Suguru Geto watching them.
• Akutagawa Shang joined the Tokyo students at the Goodwill Event, where Aoi Todo declared him a friend after hearing his preference for a tall, mature woman, and the principals announced the competition rules.
• Akutagawa Shang helped Tokyo plan to draw Kyoto away from the cursed spirits, while Noritoshi Kamo ordered Kyoto’s students to kill Yuta Okkotsu under Principal Gakuganji’s instructions.
• Yuta Okkotsu drew Kyoto’s students away and survived their coordinated assault, while Akutagawa Shang and Maki Zenin captured and destroyed a hidden Grade 1 Cursed Spirit.
• Aoi Todo challenged Yuta Okkotsu to spar, helped him overcome his fear of his power, and taught him to fight unpredictably and synchronize his cursed energy until Yuta landed a Black Flash.
• Panda, Toge Inumaki, Kinji Hakari, and Kirara Hoshi confronted Momo Nishimiya about Kyoto’s plan, while Akutagawa Shang faced Mai Zenin and Kasumi Miwa over a cursed spirit before Maki stepped in.
• Maki Zenin defeated Kasumi Miwa and Mai Zenin, then apologized to Mai for leaving home, and Akutagawa Shang treated Maki’s shoulder and killed the cursed spirit as the team competition ended.

Akutagawa Shang and his allies survive the Goodwill Event, Suguru Geto’s invasion, and the loss of Rika before turning to the Zenin Clan’s future. Maki becomes the next clan head with Megumi as deputy, while Akutagawa’s growing power and bonds with Maki and Mai reshape their place in the family.

• Maki fought Aoi Todo, whose Boogie Woogie could not target her because she had no cursed energy, then used cursed-energy-infused debris to attack her from shifting angles.
• Akutagawa Shang defeated Noritoshi Kamo’s archery by deflecting his arrows and breaking his bow, and the group later celebrated their victory over dinner and shopping.
• Akutagawa Shang, Maki, and Mai confronted the Zenin Clan, where Maki fought the gatekeepers and Ogi, while Akutagawa struck Naoya and destroyed Ogi’s flaming blade.
• Naobito Zenin warned Maki that Ogi and Naoya would contest the clan leadership after his death and urged Akutagawa to help Maki and Mai become strong enough to face the clan.
• Suguru Geto attacked Jujutsu High, but Maki, Yuta Okkotsu, and Akutagawa fought him, combining their power to overwhelm his cursed spirit vortex and leave him gravely wounded.
• After Geto’s death and Rika’s release, Akutagawa warned Satoru Gojo that someone might take over Geto’s body, while Gojo arranged Geto’s cremation and funeral.
• Akutagawa learned that his Binding Vow let Maki and Mai share their abilities through him, then promised Mai he would not leave her and helped resolve the sisters’ Twin Curse.
• Maki returned to the Zenin Clan with Akutagawa, Gojo, and Megumi, proposed herself as clan head with Megumi as deputy, and Naobito approved the appointments after Megumi agreed to help save Tsumiki.
