• Naobito Zenin returned with the group and delivered a lengthy speech that Akutagawa Shang had taught him to lull the Zenin Clan members.
• Naobito Zenin announced Maki Zenin as the next clan head and Megumi Fushiguro as executive deputy clan head, and the drowsy clan members initially raised their hands in agreement.

After Ogi Zenin was brutally beaten and removed as a threat, Naobito Zenin gave Maki Zenin and Megumi Fushiguro authority over the Zenin Clan’s forces. On the way out, Akutagawa Shang and Satoru Gojo devised a plan to drive the old guard out of Jujutsu Society’s leadership.

• Naobito Zenin stopped the Zenin Clan members from beating Ogi Zenin to death and had attendants carry him away.
• Naobito Zenin offered Maki Zenin and Mai Zenin command of Hei and the Kukuru Unit, while Megumi Fushiguro asked them to investigate his sister’s coma.

• Akutagawa Shang asked Noritoshi Kamo if he wanted to become the Kamo Clan's Clan Head, and Noritoshi confirmed that he did.

After Maki and Kamo began training, Satoru Gojo remembered that Megumi Fushiguro also needed a plan to grow stronger, and Akutagawa Shang reminded him of his future role as the Zenin Clan’s Executive Deputy Head of the Family.

• Akutagawa Shang explained that Maki Zenin would spar with Noritoshi Kamo, claiming that a near-death fight could help him learn Reverse Cursed Technique.

• Mai Zenin created a grounded metal shield that protected the group from Nue’s lightning, though a second strike burned Satoru Gojo’s fingers when he touched it.

• Mai constructed a steel framework that stopped Nue from flying freely, allowing Megumi Fushiguro to shoot and injure it with a heavy machine gun.
• Nue unleashed Purple Thunder, melting the bullets and destroying the machine gun, but Megumi Fushiguro dodged the attack.
• Nue began melting the steel framework with lightning, so Megumi Fushiguro fired a Cursed Energy RPG Launcher at it.
• The rocket exploded against Nue, killing it and completing the Subjugation Ritual.

Megumi Fushiguro continued subjugating Shikigami, defeating Great Serpent, Toad, and Rabbit Escape with explosives and a road roller. Akutagawa Shang arranged an unusual showdown for Max Elephant, and a huge suspended villa began falling toward the pink elephant.

• Megumi Fushiguro resumed the Subjugation Rituals after subjugating Nue.
• Megumi Fushiguro used grenades to kill Great Serpent from inside its body.
• Megumi Fushiguro crushed Toad with a road roller and then killed Rabbit Escape's original rabbit the same way.
• Akutagawa Shang excitedly proposed a plan to Satoru Gojo, Mai, and Megumi Fushiguro for Max Elephant's ritual.
• Megumi Fushiguro summoned Max Elephant as a huge villa suspended by a tower crane began dropping toward it.

Megumi Fushiguro defeated Max Elephant in the fifth Subjugation Ritual with his Shikigami and a falling villa. Though exhausted and drained of Cursed Energy, he insisted on continuing to attempt Round Deer's ritual after Akutagawa Shang healed his injuries.

• Akutagawa Shang played music as Megumi Fushiguro began battling Max Elephant.
• Megumi Fushiguro used Toad, the Divine Dogs, Nue, and Great Serpent to restrain and attack Max Elephant.
• Megumi Fushiguro dropped a villa onto the bound Max Elephant, killing it and completing the fifth Subjugation Ritual.
• Satoru Gojo congratulated Megumi Fushiguro, but Megumi insisted he could subdue another Shikigami.

Noritoshi Kamo reattached his severed arm with Reverse Cursed Technique and revealed that he had grasped the core of Jujutsu. After demonstrating a reversal of Blood Manipulation that could control and drain blood from injured opponents, he and Maki ended their fight and headed back to Akutagawa Shang and the others.

• Noritoshi Kamo used Reverse Cursed Technique to heal and reattach his severed arm, then declared that he had grasped the core of Jujutsu.
• Noritoshi Kamo resumed fighting Maki, using blood to fly and raining sharpened blood projectiles down on her.
• Maki discovered that Noritoshi Kamo's Cursed Technique Reversal was slowing her wounds' healing and draining her blood.

Akutagawa Shang treated Maki Zenin after her brief training with Noritoshi Kamo, whose new Reverse Cursed Technique left her astonished. After Principal Gakuganji confronted Satoru Gojo over the ruined Training Ground, Aoi Todo challenged Akutagawa to test how much stronger he had become.

• Maki told Akutagawa Shang that Noritoshi Kamo had recovered from severe injuries and awakened Reverse Cursed Technique during their fight, and Akutagawa healed her remaining wounds.

• Akutagawa Shang admitted that he could not heal Kokichi Muta himself but said a future special grade cursed spirit could alter souls and restore him.
• Akutagawa explained that the curse users would offer to heal Muta in exchange for a binding vow and intelligence from Jujutsu High.

Kokichi Muta agreed to secretly help Akutagawa Shang in exchange for the chance to be cured, and gave him a prototype communicator. Akutagawa left excited by the prospect of piloting Ultimate Mechamaru once he learned Puppet Manipulation.

• Kokichi Muta accepted Akutagawa Shang’s offer and activated a Mechamaru puppet to hand him a communicator.
• Kokichi explained that the communicator worked independently of modern signals and that only two prototypes existed.
• Akutagawa asked to pilot Ultimate Mechamaru, and Kokichi explained that Puppet Manipulation was required to activate it.

After several days of training Noritoshi Kamo and Megumi Fushiguro, Akutagawa Shang accompanied Noritoshi to the Kamo Clan headquarters. When they found that the secluded clan could only be reached by climbing a mountain, Akutagawa decided to carry Noritoshi toward the summit by launching them into the air.

• Akutagawa Shang and Noritoshi Kamo left Kyoto Jujutsu High for the Kamo Clan headquarters while Gojo Satoru and the others prepared to return to Tokyo.
• Ijichi drove Akutagawa and Noritoshi as far as the mountain road allowed, where they found no buildings or signs of the clan.
• Noritoshi explained that the conservative Kamo Clan headquarters lay in the mountains and could only be reached on foot.
• Akutagawa Shang picked up Noritoshi Kamo and launched them toward the summit, startling Noritoshi with the sudden flight.

Akutagawa Shang and Noritoshi Kamo reached the Head of the Family's Room so Noritoshi Kamo could confront his father, but Kamo Anzai tried to stop them. After Akutagawa Shang knocked Anzai unconscious, Noritoshi Kamo opened the door with a shout, and strange noises came from inside.

• Akutagawa Shang and Noritoshi Kamo headed for the Head of the Family's Room without being stopped by the other clan members.
• Kamo Anzai blocked their way and refused to let Noritoshi Kamo enter because the family head had ordered everyone to stay out.
• Akutagawa Shang tricked Kamo Anzai into turning around and knocked him unconscious with a chop to the neck.
• Akutagawa Shang carried Kamo Anzai up the steps, and he and Noritoshi Kamo heard strange noises from behind the door.

Akutagawa Shang and Noritoshi Kamo found the Kamo Clan head with two concubines and subdued him when he resisted. Noritoshi asked his father to give up the clan head position, and Akutagawa pressed him for an answer.
