After Shihōin Naraku issued his orders, Konoha's messenger Ninja Hawks swiftly reached the Four Great Shinobi Villages over the next few days.

Sunagakure.

When Kazekage Gaara received the notice, he was in his office reviewing a batch of documents concerning the development of border oases.

He broke the scroll's wax seal with his fingers and quickly scanned the writing, his brows shifting slightly.

"What is it? Does Konoha want something?" Temari leaned over from the low table beside him.

She was now helping handle daily affairs as the Kazekage's aide. Sunagakure had recovered its strength considerably faster than expected after the Fourth Shinobi World War, but that had also doubled the miscellaneous work.

Gaara spread the scroll flat on the desk and tapped Konoha's Hokage seal with a fingertip. "The Hokage wants to hold another Five Kage Summit. In ten days, in Konoha."

Sunagakure Jonin Baki happened to push the door open just then. He stopped at those words. "In ten days? The last summit..."

"Wasn't even a year ago."

Gaara looked up at the sky outside, where wind and sand swirled. "The scroll says the Search Team made a critical discovery while investigating the Ōtsutsuki ruins. It needs to be reported and coordinated at the Five Kage level."

Temari put down her pen and leaned closer to read the body of the scroll, her expression growing more serious as she read.

She was usually much more direct than Gaara in handling government affairs, but even she fell silent for a while before speaking.

"Ōtsutsuki..."

She repeated the surname quietly. "Kaguya's era was so long ago. What could an investigation of the ruins turn up now?"

"The scroll is very vague."

Gaara pushed the scroll toward Baki. "But Konoha wouldn't hold another Five Kage Summit so soon without a reason."
