Momoshiki Otsutsuki's flight this time was even more brutal than the first. His entire body shot backward like a human cannonball toward the mountains on the Land of Rivers Border.
His body skimmed the top of a hill, shearing a layer off its peak.
Then he slammed into the middle of a second mountain, leaving a crater several meters deep in its rock face as shattered rocks cascaded down like a curtain of rain.
He continued flying backward, smashing through the edge of a third mountain and bursting out the other side, sending rubble and dust flying everywhere.
Finally, his body crashed deep into a fourth mountain.
The small mountain caved in at its center, dozens of enormous cracks splitting its surface. The rumbling of its collapse went on without end, and falling rocks piled up into a new slope of rubble.
Momoshiki lay embedded deep within the collapsed mountain, his entire body covered in wounds, a wretched sight.
Dust blotted out the sky and sun.
Elsewhere, Ōtsutsuki Isshiki struggled out of the ancient tree that had snapped from the impact. Part of his flank was caved in, and his Karma markings were repairing his broken ribs and damaged internal organs.
He wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, looked up at the collapsed mountain in the distance, then turned his gaze toward Shihōin Naraku, who stood amid the devastation.
The battlefield was unrecognizable.
The river valley that had once stood on the Land of Rivers Border, its winding river, the dense forests on both banks, the pebbles on the riverbank, and the patterns in its rocky riverbed had all vanished.
In their place were endless impact craters. The largest was over three hundred meters across, its bottom nowhere in sight—a masterpiece of Momoshiki's Formula.
Countless cracks radiated
