The instant the white mist touched him, it slowed the flow of time in the area immediately around him to a near standstill.
His consciousness still functioned. He could still think and feel the unsettling sensation of his body being immobilized, but all his muscles, nerves, and chakra were locked in a single frozen frame.
He stood rooted to the spot, watching helplessly as the edges of the Space-Time Portal closed completely.
The black fissure narrowed like a wound being stitched shut, growing thinner until only a hair-fine black line remained. A breath later, even that line vanished entirely.
The air returned to its clear hue, as though everything that had just happened had been an illusion.
Naraku's consciousness remained clear.

Though he was trying every possible way to break free, the enemy's technique was unexpectedly powerful. Even Naraku could not escape the time freeze.

Now he had confirmed the identity of the enemy who had hidden behind the Space-Time Portal and rescued Ōtsutsuki Isshiki.

Deep within his consciousness, Naraku quirked the corner of his mouth, though he could not actually move it.
The red-glowing fishing rod, combined with this formidable time-freezing ability, had immediately brought Ōtsutsuki Pushi's name to mind.
Naraku clearly remembered that Pushi had used this very ability to seal Otsutsuki Toneri away.
Supposedly, for ten thousand years!
Though Naraku seriously doubted whether it could be that extreme.
But now that he had experienced it himself, he found that the time-freezing ability was extraordinarily powerful. Even if it could not truly seal someone away for ten thousand years, its duration would hardly be short.
