News that the war between Konohagakure and Kumogakure had ended finally arrived.
Word of everything Shihōin Naraku had done during the war also began spreading through the Land of Rain.
People called Naraku the new God of the Shinobi World, or gave him other names, such as the Flame God, the Phoenix, and so on.
Perhaps because it had only just begun, people's names for him varied.

"He probably survived. The Eight-Tails Jinchuriki, Killer B, escaped Shihōin Naraku's pursuit, but he didn't take part in the fighting afterward, so his condition clearly wasn't good."

The Akatsuki knew that war had broken out between the Land of Fire and the Land of Lightning.
However, the details of the war had only recently been compiled and sent in, and the Akatsuki also learned that the Two-Tails had died at Shihōin Naraku's hands.
This was bad news for the Akatsuki. Even though the plan to collect the tailed beasts had yet to begin, no one liked unforeseen developments.
