Three days later, Konoha.
Travel-worn, Asuma Sarutobi entered the Hokage's Office once again with his Team 10 and Chiriku, the abbot of the Fire Temple.
"Oh, you finished the mission pretty quickly."
Shihōin Naraku took the mission report and scroll from Asuma and waved a hand. "You all look exhausted. Go get some rest first."
"Yes!"
Asuma looked not only exhausted, but also somewhat dejected and bitter.

Chiriku followed close behind, but Naraku spoke just then.
"Abbot Chiriku, wait a moment. There's something I need to tell you."
"Yes!"
Chiriku pressed his palms together and nodded with a measure of respect, looking at Shihōin Naraku.
Naraku rubbed his fingers together and said evenly, "The ninja monks sent to Konoha have all recovered and been discharged. I had people escort them back to the Fire Temple!"
"Thank you for your assistance, Lord Hokage!" Chiriku bowed to Naraku.
Naraku smiled and waved a hand, continuing, "Most of the Fire Temple's buildings collapsed. Normally, Konoha should send people to help rebuild, but you know the village's current situation, Abbot."
"Our own reconstruction has only just begun, and we have no spare hands to send out, so..."
"Thank you for your concern, Lord Hokage. Naturally, the other ninja monks and I will handle the Fire Temple's reconstruction. There's no need to trouble Konoha."
Chiriku
