Since this was Naruto's first time entering Kurama Mode, the state had a time limit for him.
Now that time was up, Naruto naturally returned to his previous appearance. The Nine-Tails' enormous golden body dissipated, and he dropped from midair.

Before he finished speaking, the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path opened its enormous mouth. Slender chakra chains shot toward the fallen Tailed Beasts like venomous snakes, binding them outright.
They moved so fast that they almost exceeded the limits of sight.
Before Minato and the other two could even react, the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path swiftly dragged the Tailed Beasts bound by its chakra chains back into its body and sealed them away.
