Momoshiki and Kinshiki attacked Naruto to seize the Nine-Tails, but Naraku arrived and overwhelmed them. Isshiki intervened only briefly, while Momoshiki sacrificed Kinshiki and transformed, leaving Naraku poised behind him as their fight continued.

• Isshiki investigated his failed Karma experiments and ordered the surviving test subjects’ compatibility rates recalculated as he sought a vessel.
• Naraku refused to postpone the Chunin Ninja Exams while Naruto and Sasuke searched Isshiki’s underground base, and Isshiki discovered Momoshiki and Kinshiki had arrived.
• Momoshiki and Kinshiki followed Naruto’s party through the Land of Rivers and attacked, forcing Naruto to defend himself while Sasuke rushed toward the battle.
• Naruto used his clones to stall the Ōtsutsuki, then activated the emergency Communication Technique before Momoshiki’s attack engulfed the valley.
• Naraku reached the battlefield, rescued Naruto, and wounded both Ōtsutsuki, while Isshiki watched from afar and later returned as Naraku tried to finish Momoshiki.

Shihōin Naraku overwhelmed Momoshiki and Isshiki through successive clashes, forcing Isshiki to abandon Jigen’s body and reincarnate. After Kurikara further weakened both enemies, Naraku sent Naruto and Sasuke to keep Momoshiki occupied while he resumed fighting Isshiki.

• Shihōin Naraku battered Momoshiki Otsutsuki, who recovered with Sacrificial Refinement pills, then joined Ōtsutsuki Isshiki in a series of coordinated attacks that Naraku repeatedly countered.
• Naraku continued to overpower Momoshiki and Isshiki despite their weapons, chakra rods, shrinking techniques, and combined assaults, while Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha watched from a distance.
• As Isshiki’s body and Karma weakened, Naraku struck him with Eighty Gods Vacuum Attack and Flame Emperor, forcing Isshiki to abandon Jigen’s body and reincarnate in his true form.
• Naraku revealed Kurikara’s Zanka no Tachi, East: Rising Sun Blade, erasing Momoshiki’s chakra sphere and Isshiki’s weapons and Black-Red Cubes as the fight continued across the mountains.
• Momoshiki joined Isshiki against Naraku, but Naraku’s spatial attacks and Kurikara wounded them both, erasing much of Isshiki’s right arm and slowing his regeneration.
• Naraku marked Momoshiki with the Flying Thunder God formula and struck him, but Isshiki intervened before Naraku could finish the fight, so Naraku teleported to Naruto and Sasuke and told them to keep Momoshiki occupied.
• Naraku resumed fighting Isshiki while Naruto and Sasuke attacked the injured Momoshiki, who was sent flying by Naruto’s punch and began gathering power in his Rinnegan.

Naruto, Sasuke, and Shihōin Naraku fought Isshiki and Momoshiki, forcing the Ōtsutsuki to flee to an isolated alternate space. Naraku pursued them and killed Momoshiki, then continued his battle with the badly wounded Isshiki.

• Naruto and Sasuke battled Momoshiki while Shihōin Naraku fought Isshiki, and the arriving Konoha border unit created an opening for the Ōtsutsuki to attack.
• Naraku protected Yōsuke Yamashiro and the other Konoha ninja from Momoshiki’s Katsuchi, then pursued Isshiki and Momoshiki through their Space-Time Portal.
• Naruto and Sasuke escorted the wounded back toward Konoha while Naraku used the portal’s coordinates to find the Ōtsutsuki in an isolated wasteland.
• Isshiki’s Black Rods pierced Naraku, but Naraku healed and relentlessly wounded Isshiki in their ensuing fight.

Shihōin Naraku defeated Isshiki but was trapped in a time-sealing box while Pushi escaped with Isshiki and Momoshiki. As Naraku struggled to recover in the Alternate Space, Jiraiya impersonated him in Konoha, which hosted the Chunin Ninja Exams and saw Konohamaru win the final match.

• Shihōin Naraku killed Isshiki, but Pushi used a red fishing line to retrieve Isshiki and trapped Naraku in a time-sealing box.
• Pushi escaped through Yomotsu Hirasaka with the injured Isshiki and Momoshiki’s body, leaving Naraku frozen in an Alternate Space.
• Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha returned to Konoha and reported the battle, so Jiraiya impersonated Naraku while the real Hokage was missing.
• Jiraiya briefed the Four Kage on the Ōtsutsuki threat and Konoha’s plans, while Tsunade and Shikaku kept Naraku’s absence secret.
• When Naraku failed to return, Sasuke studied Minato Namikaze’s and Naraku’s Space-Time Ninjutsu research, but could not open a portal to reach him.
