His palm slammed into the mist, scattering the black mist instantly. But Jiraiya's left hand vanished too, as though something had bitten it off out of thin air.
Immediately afterward, his left leg was gone as well.
Jiraiya looked down at his right leg, inwardly exclaiming at his narrow escape-if he had used his leg to block directly just now, he probably would have lost both legs. Once the black mist dispersed completely, he turned to look behind him, fury almost blazing from his eyes. But mixed into that anger was a measure of shock.
Where was his left leg? How had it just disappeared?
"You ****, I'm not done with you!" Jiraiya roared, launching himself at Xuan Zhe like a cannonball.
Seeing Jiraiya like this, Xuan Zhe was nearly scared out of his wits. He hurriedly turned and ran.
But Jiraiya gave him no chance. He pushed off the ground and used Hohō, appearing right in front of Xuan Zhe and driving his right fist forward.
Xuan Zhe had no time to react and took the punch head-on.
He flew several meters, hit the ground, and rolled several times before stopping. Blood kept spilling from the corner of his mouth. His face was paper-white, and his eyes nearly bulged out from the pain.
The punch had been terrifyingly powerful. His ribs seemed to have broken, and the meridians inside his body were badly injured too.
Xuan Zhe roared as he climbed to his feet, his voice hoarse and crazed. "You coward! Fight me one-on-one if you've got the guts! I'll fight you to the death!"
As soon as Xuan Zhe said that, Jiraiya laughed. "Hahaha! Is something wrong with your head, kid? You think you're qualified to fight me?"
Those words stabbed into Xuan Zhe's heart like a knife.
