After settling Honoka at his main base, Orochimaru headed to Konoha to find Taichi.
As a former top powerhouse of Konoha, Orochimaru easily slipped into the village after altering his appearance.
He had not returned to Konoha over the years partly because he did not want to, and partly because nothing there was worth returning for.
He had originally planned to get his hands on Uchiha Itachi, but after Itachi rose to fame, Orochimaru decided to forget it. If he actually killed Itachi, half of Konoha would go mad.
"Itachi, my son keeps blaming himself lately for failing to save his teammates. When will you have time to come over and see him?"
"Granny, I'll come tonight!"
"Itachi, I recently broke up with someone, and I feel full of resentment too."
"Sir, you're grieving. Just cry it out! Letting your emotions out is good for your health."
"Itachi, my husband is never romantic. Could you talk to him?"
