His expression was fairly calm, but his fingers kept tapping his arm unconsciously. Beside him, Tulilei simply stood with his arms folded, pacing back and forth, his boots crunching over the rubble.
Seven days.
Wangcai and Bebe had been up there for seven whole days. They had said they would go up and take a look first. At the time, Desri had thought they would return in a day or two at most.
They had experienced the Flame Monarch's strength three thousand years ago. Back then, neither he nor Tulilei had reached the Saint-level Limit, and they had been beaten so badly they had nearly died on the Sixth Layer.
Now, however strong Wangcai and Bebe were, they could not possibly clash head-on with the Flame Monarch and over a thousand Red Rock Demons. If they could not win, they should have retreated.
