Karuoso's final hope had not been disappointed.

A specially crafted godslaying arrow appeared without warning a thousand feet behind Loa, its shaft wrapped in a cold, grayish-white halo-the product of Death Law Divine Power fused with some kind of soul toxin.

Wherever the arrow passed, it tore ripples through space, like the rings spreading across water after a stone was dropped into it, expanding outward without a sound.

Loa seemed to have eyes in the back of his head.

He swept the Hidden Abyss Sword behind his back to block. The instant the blade collided with the arrowhead, an impact far beyond what a Middle God could withstand surged through the sword into his arm.

A Six-Star Demon's all-out arrow was absolutely more powerful than anything any of his previous opponents could deliver.

The Fused Divine Power inside Loa erupted instantly, his sky-blue Two-Element Fusion Divine Power stubbornly resisting the arrow's penetrating force.

Just as he exerted himself to knock the arrow away, the entire arrow exploded.

There were no fragments, no flames, only a thick cloud of grayish-white mist gushing from the arrowhead, instantly engulfing Loa and Wangcai.

The mist was so viscous it seemed solid, radiating the cold aura of the Death Law. Within it, both vision and divine sense were severely suppressed, and even soul perception grew somewhat sluggish.

A burly man dressed as a hunter stepped out of thin air, holding a Divine Artifact longbow taller than himself. The same grayish-white halo as the arrow's flowed over the bow.

He appeared beside Karuoso, his footsteps utterly silent, as though he had been standing there from the beginning.

"Lord Will!" Karuoso and Mobis bowed simultaneously, Karuoso's voice filled with relief at surviving disaster. Will had finally acted. He still had a chance to get his soul treasure.
