The instant the Metal Lifeform burst out of the sea, it began changing shape, no longer resembling the diamond-shaped vessel it had been before.
Just after its transformation finished, an overwhelmingly powerful material attack slashed toward the Metal Lifeform carrying the two of them.

Bebe and Danniton rushed out of the damaged Metal Lifeform.
They looked at an honest-looking giant of a man standing nearby, three meters tall.
In an instant, Danniton recalled the handbook of Infernal Realm experts he had obtained at Freedom Castle. One of the experts in it bore some resemblance to the man before them.
If this really was that man, neither he nor Bebe would likely escape today. Danniton's expression turned grim.
Beside him, Bebe caught sight of Danniton's grim expression from the corner of his eye, and his heart sank.
"Get ready to fight for your life!"
Danniton's voice sounded in Bebe's mind.

"Are you two Bebe and Danniton?"
The three-meter-tall giant spoke, asking them.
"Yes, we are Bebe and Danniton."
"Good. I've found the right people. Come with me!" the giant said in his guileless manner, as though the two of them going along with him was the most natural thing in the world.
"May I ask who you are?"
Danniton asked.
"I'm Hemmers. I've been waiting here for you two for many years. You've finally arrived."
Upon hearing Hemmers's name, Danniton's face fell. According to what he knew, Hemmers had already roamed the Infernal Realm unchallenged for untold tens of thousands of years. He and Bebe were in trouble today.
What Danniton could least understand was who stood behind this, someone who could order an expert like Hemmers to wait here for them, and how they had learned the pair's route.
