Chen Xuan joined Dao Sect, mastered its four great scriptures, and uncovered Yuan Sect’s ties to the Demons. The arc ended with Chen Xuan fighting a Demon General in the Burning Heaven Ancient Treasury while Yuan Cang and allied sects broke Dao Sect’s defensive array.

• Chen Xuan killed King Tian Ming, won the sects’ recruitment contest, and chose to join Dao Sect’s Heaven Hall with Yun Yun and Su Rou.
• Chen Xuan comprehended Dao Sect’s four great scriptures and defeated the Demon sealed inside the Great Desolation Monument, claiming the monument as his own.
• At Blood Rock Land, Yuan Sect elders ambushed Ying Huanhuan, Yun Yun, and Su Rou, and Chen Xuan killed the attackers after Su Rou was killed.
• Ying Xuanzi refused to surrender Chen Xuan to Yuan Sect, while Chen Xuan revealed evidence of Demons and warned that Yuan Sect’s leader carried Demonic Qi.
• Dao Sect allied with Sword Sect and Hongya Cave before heading to the Sect Competition in Otherworldly Demon City, where Cheng Pu and Wang Su appeared resurrected.
• Inside the Burning Heaven Ancient Treasury, Chen Xuan rescued Fentian Old Man, captured Cheng Pu’s group, and erased the Demon General.
• Yuan Cang and fighters from several sects broke Dao Sect’s defensive array, while Wang Yan charged into the enemy ranks to avenge his sister.

Chen Xuan destroyed Yuan Sect, pursued the mystery surrounding Ling Qingzhu and Yun Yun, and repeatedly confronted the rising Demon threat. After rescuing Ying Huanhuan and dealing with Ling Qingzhu, he helped the Nine-tailed Clan and Dragon Clan, ending the stretch by purifying the Demon Suppression Prison.

• Chen Xuan killed Yuan Cang and Yuan Sect’s forces, then defeated Ren Yuanzi, Di Yuanzi, and Tian Yuanzi and purified the Demonic Qi beneath Otherworldly Demon City.
• Chen Xuan traveled to the Chaotic Demon Sea, learned from the Flame Lord about the Demons, and helped Gu Yan’s family before leaving them a Jade Talisman for emergencies.
• Ling Qingzhu took Yun Yun from the Dao Sect and later killed Gu Yan, Gu Mengqi, and the Gu Family while searching for Chen Xuan’s Jade Talisman.
• Chen Xuan confronted Ling Qingzhu, then joined Ying Huanhuan and Ying Xiaoxiao at the Flame God Palace and killed the attacking Ox Demon King and other Demons.
• Chen Xuan fought Lin Dong and the Demon forces at Nine Heavens Taiqing Palace, trapped Ling Qingzhu there, and searched unsuccessfully for Yun Yun.
• Chen Xuan helped Xin Qing and the Nine-tailed Clan destroy a Demon in their Ancestor Soul Hall, then traveled with Qing Zhi to address the Dragon Clan’s Demon trouble.
• Chen Xuan repaired the Demon Suppression Prison’s barrier, met the Lord of Darkness, and purified all its Demonic Qi with the Purifying Lotus Demon Flame.
