Qinghe nodded. "Loads of them, every type you could want."
Xia Zhi practically drooled with envy. "Too bad I'm married. I can admire those hot young guys from a distance, but I can't get my hands on them."
She even let out a heavy sigh afterward to express her deep regret.
I really hope the villain can show some gratitude. I'm being so considerate of him. Shouldn't he arrange a hot young guy for me sometime, too?
Lu Heng, who had already walked up behind Xia Zhi, happened to hear her outrageous remarks. He had already been seething, and now he was furious.
She wanted to get her hands on hot young guys?
And she was fantasizing about him arranging one for her?
Ha.
She really was dreaming.
Ji Qinghe was the first to notice the terrifying-looking man behind Xia Zhi. From his furious expression, he looked ready to strangle the woman in front of him, who was still going on and on about hot young guys.
Taking in his clothes and the resemblance his features bore to Lu Kuo's, Ji Qinghe cleverly guessed who he was and hurriedly shot Xia Zhi a meaningful look.
But Xia Zhi clearly misunderstood Ji Qinghe's wink.
"Exactly! Even if I can't touch, I can still feast my eyes. Qinghe, when will you take me to look around your school?"
Qinghe coughed hard.
Xia Zhi asked, "What's wrong? Does your throat hurt?"
"I happen to have some lozenges."
Xia Zhi rummaged through her bag for the lozenges, still chattering away. "Do you think anyone would notice if I slipped into your class as a student? Then I could..."
Her voice abruptly cut off as a pair of exceptionally clean, familiar leather shoes came into view.
Xia Zhi's heart lurched. No way, right?
Her gaze traveled up the man's trouser legs, all the way to his face, meeting his bone-chilling stare.
Xia Zhi suddenly shuddered. Oh no. Looks like the villain doesn't think much of my taste.
But Little Song really is good-looking-fair and tender, and he looks so shy and obedient. Never mind men, even I, a woman, think he's very appealing. I really don't understand what type the villain likes.
Being too picky isn't good.
Lu Heng: "..."
This woman still thought that pretty boy was suitable?
Xia Zhi put on a sweet smile. "Honey, what brings you here? Don't tell me you didn't like my present?"
Lu Heng stared coldly at Xia Zhi for a moment, then glanced at Ji Qinghe and grabbed Xia Zhi's arm.
"Come."
His voice held back boundless fury.
Naturally, Xia Zhi didn't dare anger the villain. She hurriedly told Ji Qinghe, "Qinghe, I haven't had a chance to introduce you yet. This is my husband."
"Honey, this is Ji Qinghe, your older brother's blind date. Hey, hey, slow down."
Lu Heng dragged Xia Zhi along so hard she stumbled, but she still remembered to gesture to Ji Qinghe to call her.
Ji Qinghe nodded at her.
Only then did Xia Zhi follow the villain away with her mind at ease.
Ji Qinghe watched their retreating figures thoughtfully. She had heard her family mention Lu Heng before. They said he had a sharp business mind and a ruthless way of doing things, always wearing a cold expression and never letting his feelings show.
Naturally, someone of his stature wouldn't let others read his thoughts easily. But all Ji Qinghe had just seen was a man furious beyond measure. What had happened to "never letting his feelings show"?
Although she didn't know what Xia Zhi had done to provoke Lu Heng, that man certainly couldn't be described as calm.
That silly girl Xia Zhi probably still didn't know that her husband felt differently about her.
"H-honey, my hand hurts."
Xia Zhi protested quietly.
The man was so strong that she felt as though he was going to crush the bones in her hand.
But Lu Heng acted as though he hadn't heard. He flung her straight into the passenger seat, then stepped on the accelerator himself. The car shot forward like an arrow, scaring Xia Zhi into hurriedly grabbing the handle above her head.
"Honey, y-you, you need to slow down."
I don't want to die in some lovers' suicide pact with this damned pervert.
Hearing Xia Zhi call him a damned pervert again, Lu Heng sneered. "Afraid of dying?"
"N-no, I'm not."
Xia Zhi put on a false show of concern.
"Honey, I'm worried about you."
Lu Heng said, "I don't need you worrying about me."
With that, he drove even faster.
Seeing that Lu Heng's car was about to kiss the black car ahead, Xia Zhi screamed, "Ah!" and covered her eyes.
But the crash she had imagined didn't happen. At the critical moment, the man turned the steering wheel, and the car slipped past the other vehicle's corner.
Xia Zhi broke out in a cold sweat from sheer fright. Even her legs were trembling.
"Honey, please slow down..."
I don't want to die yet!
Even Little Sponge was trembling. [Host, the villain is really, really angry this time. It must be because you found him a man.]
Xia Zhi cautiously studied Lu Heng's expression.
[Oh, he definitely doesn't like Little Song's type. If he's this angry, Little Song probably suffered quite a bit too. Maybe he's already beaten his face to a pulp.]
[Poor kid.]
The veins in Lu Heng's forehead throbbed, and he clenched his back teeth.
Too?
Had he made her suffer?
Fine. Fine. Fine.
It seemed that unless he made her suffer a little, this woman wouldn't know what suffering meant.
Little Sponge said, [I still think the villain likes you.]
It had a gut feeling.
Xia Zhi said, [How is that possible?]
Lu Heng thought, Exactly. Impossible.
He was only angry that this woman actually dared to misrepresent his sexual orientation. He had to teach her a lesson.
When they got home, Aunt Li was eating alone. She was surprised to see them back so early. Hadn't the second young madam said she was going out to eat with the second young master?
Aunt Li asked, "Second Young Master, have you eaten?"
Lu Heng looked extremely displeased, but he was still reasonably polite to Aunt Li.
"No. Just make a couple of dishes."
Aunt Li hurried to her feet. "I'll get started right away."
Without another word, Lu Heng carried Xia Zhi upstairs as though she were a little chick. Seeing how strangely the two were behaving, Aunt Li couldn't help calling out worriedly.
"Second Young Madam."
Xia Zhi hurriedly smiled. "Don't worry, Aunt Liu. We're just playing around."
As she spoke, Lu Heng had already hauled her into the room, and the door slammed shut.
Without even turning on the light, Lu Heng tossed Xia Zhi straight onto the bed.
Xia Zhi was just about to catch her breath when a tall, heavy body pressed down on her.
*??*
What was the villain trying to do?
Only when Lu Heng began tearing at Xia Zhi's clothes did she come to her senses. Is the villain trying to force himself straight? Isn't that taking things too far?
Little Sponge clapped. [Host, I told you the villain likes women.]
[This is a romance world. You're too obsessed with BL.]
But Xia Zhi felt that since the villain hadn't reacted even when she had stripped down that far before, his actions now only made him look as though he was trying to hide something.
[You're a minor. You need to trust my judgment as an adult. I've eaten more salt than you've eaten rice.]
Little Sponge: [...]
[Host, I don't eat salt, thank you.]
In the darkness, Xia Zhi felt increasingly cool as more of her body was exposed. Then a large, burning-hot hand gripped her soft waist and pressed her downward.
