Xia Zhi finally felt the man's overwhelming threat. She began to panic.
"Honey, don't be angry. I know you don't like Little Song. I promise I won't make decisions on my own again. Y-you... don't force yourself, okay?"
"Force myself?"
Lu Heng laughed in his fury.
"No, I'm not forcing myself at all. On the contrary, I'm enjoying this."
Lu Heng had no intention of letting Xia Zhi off. Instead, he pressed closer. "Besides, isn't this exactly what you wanted?"
His voice held a devilish temptation, captivating and intoxicating.
"I-I..."
She didn't want this! That had been the original owner's wish.
With things on the verge of going too far, Xia Zhi tensed all over. "Honey, I've been running around all day, and I'm covered in sweat. It's dried and gotten wet again over and over. I'm all sticky. It feels awful."
"And I went to the bathroom several times and forgot to wash my hands."
Those words clearly worked better than any threat. Almost the next instant, Xia Zhi felt the weight lift from her body. The man had already gotten up and left.
Then the bedroom door slammed shut.
Phew.
Xia Zhi quietly exhaled. Luckily, she knew the villain's weak spot inside out.
How could someone with such severe germophobia stand a bed partner who hadn't showered? Let alone one who didn't wash her hands after using the bathroom?
Eek.
The phrase "unflinching in the face of danger" had probably been coined to praise her.
The villain must have gone back to his guest room to shower.
Xia Zhi decided to verify her guess and crept quietly over to the guest room.
Hehehe.
Sure enough, the sound of running water came from the bathroom.
Xia Zhi covered her mouth and snickered. She had guessed right.
It looked like dealing with the villain would be easy from now on. All she had to do was say something dirty or unhygienic, and he would immediately flee in horror.
Little did Xia Zhi know that the person inside had heard every word of her thoughts.
With a cold smile, Lu Heng suddenly turned off the water, pushed open the bathroom door, and walked out, coming face-to-face with Xia Zhi.
"Ah-"
Xia Zhi clapped her hands over her eyes.
Unfortunately, it was too late. She had seen everything. This time, Lu Heng wasn't wearing anything, not even a towel around his waist.
Most embarrassing of all, her nose began to heat up again. It was like some sort of curse: whenever she saw the villain naked, her nosebleed became uncontrollable.
Not wanting the villain to laugh at her, Xia Zhi hurriedly turned and rushed toward the door.
Bang.
She crashed spectacularly into the door.
It was a hard impact. Stars danced before Xia Zhi's eyes. She swayed a few times before collapsing dizzily onto the floor.
Xia Zhi: "..."
Damn it. Was this what they meant by joy turning to sorrow?
Xia Zhi struggled to open her eyes, only to find the villain's utterly perfect physique right in front of her. Two streams of blood finally ran from her nose despite herself.
How humiliating.
A quiet snicker came from Lu Heng above her, followed by a rather insincere explanation. "Sorry, I didn't know you were in my room. I thought it was empty."
To be fair, Xia Zhi was the one in the wrong. She had sneaked furtively into his room herself, so she really had no grounds to complain.
Xia Zhi pinched her nose to stop the blood from pouring out.
"Is lying on the floor that comfortable?"
"Get up. Come downstairs and eat with me."
Xia Zhi didn't dare look at the villain, afraid her nose would bleed even harder. "Honey, go down first. Let me take care of this."
A packet of tissues landed beside Xia Zhi's hand. "I'm going to get dressed. I hope you'll have taken care of it by the time I come out."
Xia Zhi nodded haphazardly. "...Okay."
Both sides had suffered casualties in their first round.
Lu Heng's anger had subsided considerably after Xia Zhi hit her head and got a nosebleed.
That night, Lu Heng indeed didn't come to sleep in the master bedroom.
Delighted to have some peace, Xia Zhi showered and climbed into bed to watch a show. Suddenly, her phone chimed.
It was WeChat.
Xia Zhi opened it. Huh? She didn't recognize this profile picture.
-It's Song Ye.
Realization dawned on Xia Zhi. She had added that little bottom on WeChat and promised to send him a cash gift.
-Give me a second.
Xia Zhi swiftly made two transfers.
One for eighty thousand, the other for eight thousand eight hundred.
The eighty thousand was the remaining payment, and the eight thousand eight hundred was his cash gift.
Although the kid hadn't managed to satisfy the villain, he had probably suffered quite a bit at his hands. Poor kid. He was so young; who knew whether the villain might have scared him badly enough to cause problems?
Anyway, the original owner's card had plenty of money. She could consider it a good deed.
But there was no response from the other end for ages. He neither replied nor accepted the money.
Xia Zhi didn't give it much thought. She tossed her phone aside and continued watching her show.
Only after she had watched for over half an hour did her phone chime again.
-I don't need the money. That gentleman gave me two hundred thousand.
Xia Zhi: "!!"
The villain wasn't playing fair. He had actually given him a full two hundred thousand! How was that dissatisfaction? He had clearly been more than satisfied!
Damn him.
He had even given her a nasty look, making her think he wasn't happy with the person she'd chosen.
-Haha, looks like my boss was very satisfied with your performance. Did he arrange to see you again?
Song Ye raised an eyebrow slightly when he saw the word "boss." Was this woman still pretending to be his secretary?
-He did, but I don't want to go.
-Why?
Good heavens.
The villain wasn't human. Little Song clearly suited him so well, yet he insisted on acting as though he'd gotten the short end of the stick.
He'd gone too far.
Song Ye stared at his phone screen for a while before replying.
-Because I don't have any nice clothes or shoes. I'm too embarrassed to go out and see anyone.
-That's easy enough. I'll buy you some.
Xia Zhi took on the responsibility almost without thinking. As long as this guy could serve the villain well and keep him in a wonderful mood every day, any amount of money would be worth it.
Xia Zhi sent another cash gift in a flash, brimming with swagger.
-Take it. It's a reward from your big sis.
This time, Song Ye quickly tapped to accept it.
-Thanks, sis.
Even his words had grown sweeter.
-Sis, I don't know how to choose clothes. You rich people all know how to put outfits together. Could you please help me pick out a couple of things?
Xia Zhi: "..."
Uh.
Not only did she have to find her husband a lover, now she had to pick out clothes for his lover too?
She was probably the greatest wife in the world, bar none.
Xia Zhi felt she was about to be moved to tears by her own noble virtue.
-No problem.
And so, the two agreed on a meeting spot at the mall for the following day.
After chatting, Xia Zhi plugged her phone in to charge and continued watching her show. As she watched, it belatedly dawned on her that something wasn't right. Earlier, when the villain had pinned her down, he had clearly...
But with Little Song, he had also...
So was the villain bisexual??
Xia Zhi marveled, [Tsk, tsk. The villain really is a pervert.]
Little Sponge: [...]
It would just watch and keep quiet.
The next day, Xia Zhi arrived at the mall at the agreed time and place. From a distance, she spotted a boy leaning against a gleaming marble pillar.
The boy wore a simple white shirt and jeans. His skin really was lovely, so fair and delicate it seemed water might bead out if she pinched it.
Xia Zhi was truly envious.
"Little Song."
