In a future no one knew how distant.

Above Earth, amid the stars, stood an enormous, dazzling structure, like a sword thrust into the sky.

Inside the structure, countless researchers bustled about. Beneath a large screen stood a stunning purple-haired girl in military uniform, who watched the scene on the screen and gave an order.

"Begin preparations to retrieve Gilgamesh's heroic spirit!"

"Yes!"

Gilgamesh's heroic spirit drifted through an illusory space. When he awoke again, he found two people he had never seen standing before him.

The two looked much like deities, but Gilgamesh could tell at a glance that they were not gods, but humans like himself.

"Who are you?"

Even in death, his pride remained unchanged, and he spoke haughtily.

The bespectacled man in white and the black-haired girl exchanged a glance. The man adjusted his glasses, placed a hand over his chest, and bowed respectfully.

"Honored most ancient king, we are lantern-bearers of the Heroic Spirit Throne. We have been ordered to invite you to join the Heroic Spirit Throne."

"The Heroic Spirit Throne? What is that?"

Gilgamesh paid no heed to the fact that he was already dead. Instead, he asked with interest.

"The Heroic Spirit Throne is a divine artifact developed by humanity in the future to resist an apocalyptic catastrophe. Its purpose is to gather the heroic spirits of human heroes from every age to fight for humanity's survival!"

The bespectacled man in white spoke calmly.

"The future? So you come from the future. I thought there was something strange about your auras. And you gather the heroic spirits of human heroes? Does that mean many powerful humans are already in the Heroic Spirit Throne in the future?"

Gilgamesh was clearly very interested.

"Yes."

Suddenly, as though something had just occurred to him, Gilgamesh pointed outside the illusory space at Jiang Yang, who was still standing atop the palace, and asked.

"By the way, are these fellows who call themselves gods still around in the future?"

"Uh... well... I don't know. These deities seem to have all vanished without a trace in the future."

The bespectacled man in white adjusted his glasses and spoke awkwardly.

Atop the palace, Jiang Yang was looking at the hundreds of dragons that had suddenly appeared before him, worrying over how to deal with them, when he suddenly felt as though someone had peeked at him.

He turned to look, but there was nothing there.

"Strange."

Within the illusory space, Gilgamesh burst out laughing at Jiang Yang's reaction.

"What a perceptive fellow! Hahahaha! Very well, I agree to join the Heroic Spirit Throne. Humanity's future calamity and countless human heroes-the very thought is exciting. And if this fellow lives that long, I should be able to meet him again and fight another battle."

"Welcome, most ancient king, Lord Gilgamesh!"

The bespectacled man and the black-haired girl exchanged a glance, both breathing a sigh of relief as they spoke in unison.

And so, Gilgamesh died with his pride intact and was summoned into the Heroic Spirit Throne, where he would continue fighting for the humans of the Sixth Epoch in the future.

Atop the king's palace in Uruk.

The evening sun shrouded the world like golden gauze, its warmth shining into people's hearts.

The hundreds of dragons that had suddenly appeared certainly could not remain in human territory.

Apart from having transformed from Golden Humans, possessing dark-gold slit pupils, and still retaining a trace of intelligence, they bore almost no resemblance to the humans they had once been.

Just then, the green dragon Enkidu had become prostrated himself before Jiang Yang, then transformed once more into a handsome man with long green hair.

"Great Lord Sun God, honored Majesty the God King. Please allow me to lead my people away from here to seek a new home."

Jiang Yang tossed his sword back into the domain of flames behind him and turned to look at Enkidu before him, marveling at his intelligence.

"Enkidu, you indeed cannot remain in human territory any longer. But can all of you take human form again?"

"Lord Sun God, only those who reach my level can transform again."

Enkidu answered honestly. He had a vague intuition that this was so.

Jiang Yang nodded, exchanged a glance with Mar, and continued.

"I see. Only upon reaching King-Rank? Enkidu, west of the Mesopotamian plain lies an island, neither large nor small. Your newborn Dragon Clan should go and live there."

"The Dragon Clan? Is that the name the god has given us?"

As Enkidu listened to Jiang Yang's words, his heart settled somewhat.

He turned to face the hundreds of dragons of varying sizes and shouted.

"Everyone, we were all bestowed with the king's blood. We are all members of the Dragon Clan, and every dragon possesses formidable strength and a long lifespan."

"So we cannot remain on this land. We must seek a new home. The great Lord Sun God has already shown us the way. Follow me, everyone."

With that, Enkidu transformed into a green dragon again, spread his wings, and flew west.

The hundreds of dragons all cast a fearful glance at Jiang Yang, then roared and flew away after Enkidu.

Jiang Yang watched their silhouettes soaring beneath the setting sun for a while, then suddenly asked Mar beside him.

"Do you think they will hate us?"

"Isn't that only natural? After all, the gods killed their king."

Mar laughed heartily and patted Jiang Yang on the shoulder.

"Still, I never imagined Gilgamesh would actually create a race as he died. To think that this is what the second step of Emperor-Rank looks like. He has certainly given us a direction."

"Indeed."

In the distant future, inside a luxurious, high-tech office within the Heroic Spirit Throne, the stunning purple-haired girl sat in her chair. Watching the Sun God's faintly emerging figure on the screen, she revealed a smile that could turn the world upside down.

"The Sun God, Jiang Yang... was it?"
