The beautiful, gallant angel stood extremely close, her head tilted slightly upward as she looked at him. The heavenly wind lifted her long, silvery-white hair, letting Jiang Yang catch a faint, pleasant fragrance.
Jiang Yang sheathed the broken Platinum Longsword, lightly coughed up a mouthful of blood, and lowered his head slightly to look at the breathtaking angel before him, a faint smile appearing on his face.
"Why do you say that?"
"I once saw footage of Morning Star Lucifer fighting on my elder sister's photonic computer. Those consummate combat skills and that fighting style were extremely similar to yours."
Gael still held her spear pointed downward. Blood seeped from the corner of her mouth, and her face was very pale. That brief, intense battle had been difficult for her, too.
Hearing this, Jiang Yang could not help recalling what Gabriel had once said on the battlefield as she watched him fight, both delighted and worried.
"Lucifer, your combat instincts are without equal throughout the ages. I'm very proud of you, but I also worry about you, because being who you are means that the opponents you face in the future are destined to be far stronger than you."
"That is your fate!"
Jiang Yang's thoughts drifted like white clouds on the horizon, stray notions rising and sinking in his mind. He soon came back to himself, looked at the angel before him who called herself the Seraphim of Punishment, and asked in return.
"Then what do you think of someone like Lucifer?"
"Absolutely awful!"
Gael spoke with ironclad certainty, her voice thick with loathing.
"Uh..."
This left Jiang Yang at a complete loss. One second you were praising my consummate combat skills, and the next you started loathing and scorning me. Isn't that a little too fast a change?
