They followed a brightly lit corridor to an enormous indoor plaza.

There stood a massive machine resembling a missile launcher.
Its long, smooth black barrel extended straight toward the outer glass wall. Its fearsome body and a base so vast it occupied almost the entire plaza truly gave the gods a shock.
Odin asked uncertainly.
"Aulisel, are you sure this isn't some super missile cannon, but a God Blood Creation Device?"
"Exactly. Why does this thing look so much like a World-Destroying weapon at first glance?"
"If this really were a super cannon, I'd believe it could fire all the way from here to Pluto."
It was not that the gods overestimated present-day technology. Through years of development, the Divine Clan Civilization had absorbed the achievements of the two earlier civilizations of the Fourth Epoch and the Second Epoch, and Divine Clan technology had advanced enormously.
Seeing the gods' astonished expressions, Qing Fengxi, the device's principal designer, smiled softly and explained.

Rings of cyan light appeared around the long black barrel.
Streaks of blue radiance lit up across the gun mount, and a small orb of light containing what appeared to be God Blood emerged at the center of the platform.
As the radiance intensified, the entire plaza lit up.
After the blue radiance blossomed, the surrounding glass walls vanished in an instant, and the pitch-black barrel, wreathed in cyan rings of light, began rotating through
