Akanoz's headless corpse blazed with red light as it writhed erratically where it stood, while the gods watched the devil's corpse warily.
Not far away, Jiang Yang's golden-flame Sword Qi spouted scorching flames, hovering an inch from Akanoz's enormous head.
Black blood streamed from the head's severed neck, but Akanoz no longer cared about any of that. All he wanted now was to escape with his life.
"What information? Tell me. Once I've heard it, I'll decide whether it can buy your life."
Jiang Yang smiled, his sword hand perfectly steady, as though he held not a devil-slaying sword, but a light wooden stick.
The ugly face on Akanoz's enormous head scrunched up. Sensing the faint killing intent overhead, he feared Jiang Yang would bring his sword down and destroy his head.
"Great God King, I am a Devil Lord serving under King Beelzebub. Several hundred years ago, I attended an assembly held by Overlord Satan."
"Who is Beelzebub? And who is Satan?"
Jiang Yang interrupted him to ask.
Akanoz cautiously stole a glance at Jiang Yang's expression. Seeing that his face was calm, he continued.
"Beelzebub is a Demon King in Hell, known as the King of Gluttony. He is immensely powerful, one of the seven kings of devils!"
"And Satan is the overlord of all devils, standing above the seven kings!"
Having said this, a trace of yearning appeared in Akanoz's eyes.
There was no devil who did not wish to become a Demon King!
"Seven devil kings? Who are they? Which one is Samael?"
Jiang Yang pressed.
"The seven Demon Kings are Leviathan, King of Envy; Samael, King of Wrath and Death; Belial, King of Sloth; Mammon, King of Greed; Beelzebub, King of Gluttony and Contracts; and Asmodeus, King of Lust."
"Why are
