• The divine Vermilion Bird sensed Jiang Yang’s kingly presence, called him a born king among birds, and returned to cultivating.

Meanwhile, Jiang Yang continued flying across the East Sea with two roasted Deep-Sea Giant Sharks toward the Giant Whale’s territory.

• A space-time opening appeared in the deep-sea trench where the Abyss had once been, and Luo Yuan led several hundred Devil Ghost Race members through it.
• Luo Yuan announced that the Devil Ghost Race had grown powerful during its exile and had returned to claim its place as a ruler of Earth.

Jiang Yang, in his Golden Crow form, forced the East Sea’s powerful creatures to join the Demon Race and gathered them to travel toward Vermilion Bird Island. He planned to teach them the Transformation Method before recruiting more beings in the Eastern Wasteland.

• Jiang Yang entered the deep-sea giant whale’s territory, and the whale hid near an undersea volcano rather than confront him.
• Jiang Yang plunged into the sea and overpowered the deep-sea giant whale, who agreed to join the Demon Race.
• Jiang Yang asked the whale, whose name was Wei, to guide him to the East Sea’s remaining powerful creatures, and Wei agreed.

• Di Jun traveled to the North Sea, subdued many beasts, and invited Peng to join the Demon Race, but Peng refused.
• Di Jun’s demons repeatedly clashed with the North Sea Beast Race, whose members appealed to Peng for justice.
• Peng confronted Di Jun and demanded that he leave the North Sea, but Di Jun again urged him to join the Demon Race.

Vermilion Bird tracked the Nine-Colored Divine Deer to Distant Cloud Mountain and asked her to join the Demon Race. The Lord Among the Clouds appeared on the Deer's behalf and refused, leaving Vermilion Bird facing the powerful guardian.

• Vermilion Bird spent weeks searching the southern mountains and learned that the Nine-Colored Divine Deer was on Distant Cloud Mountain.
• Vermilion Bird flew to Distant Cloud Mountain and called for the Nine-Colored Divine Deer to meet her.

As Jiang Yang became friends with Tang in West Bo, a captured azure bird escaped the Devil Ghost Race’s eastern expedition and warned the Demon Court of its plans.

• Dark Bird told Tang that the Shang Tribe descended from Heavenly Emperor Jiang, and Tang declared the Heavenly Emperor its great ancestor.
• Tang conquered Xia’s vassal states, defeated Jie of Xia, and founded the Shang Dynasty with West Bo as its capital.
