After Ren and Ishida join clubs, Toba laments that they have fewer opportunities to return to the dorms together. He readily accepts Ren’s invitation to the Light Music Club’s performance at Dreambox Restaurant and later promises to pay for their next café visit after Ren covers the drinks 4 5 8.

During the dispute over Class A’s leadership, Toba remains undecided between Sakayanagi and Katsuragi. Although Ishida expects him to favor Sakayanagi, Toba insists that the class’s future deserves more thought than simply choosing according to his feelings 9.

Summer Special Exams

Toba shares a cruise-ship cabin with Ren and Ishida. Expecting a holiday, he tries to stop Ishida from studying and is dismayed when the school announces the Uninhabited Island Special Exam 18.
