The female ghost in the house had now completely lost the seductive appearance that could have captivated any man. Her skin was shriveled and blackened, her cheeks sunken and withered, and even most of her lips were missing, exposing hideous teeth and white bone beneath.

After taking a barrage of "light bullets" from Nick, she could barely even maintain this form, flickering constantly as though her battery were running low.

"Nick! Nick!" Dahlia rushed into the house and caught hold of Nick, reaching out to check the wound on his chest.

"I'm fine." Before Nick had finished speaking, the P226 in his hand abruptly disintegrated, turning into a scattering of black powder on the floor.

His expression unchanged, he took the Ming-Style Eight-Sided Han Sword from his pocket dimension, drew it, and flicked his wrist in a beautiful sword flourish. The blade actually lit up as well.

Though it was not as dazzling as a Jedi's flashlight-like column of light, its glow felt soothing, like a pool of clear autumn water shimmering in a moonlit pond.

Most interestingly, a closer look revealed that it was not the entire blade glowing, but the Cloud-and-Thunder Pattern and Stars-and-Constellations Pattern on the blade and hilt.

The female ghost seemed extremely wary of the light Nick released. She only dared stand beside the stairs, continuously roaring silently at them.

"We've already burned her remains. She's completely trapped now. This is her home." Sam tugged his older brother, signaling that they could withdraw for now.

"Right, this is her home. But she keeps looking for rides along the road, saying she wants to go home, saying she can't get home. Of all the people who've disappeared over the years, did not a single one ever bring her back to this farm?" Nick sneered.
