Discovering the Mysterious Shop

Dugu Yan studied at Heaven Dou Royal Academy and lived at Dugu Manor in Heaven Dou City. She worried about her grandfather’s unexplained absences, which regularly lasted three to five days. While listening to Yu Tianheng discuss the Shrek Team, she found a windblown flyer advertising a shop that could grant twin martial souls 19.

Although she initially dismissed the advertisement as a scam, she asked Dugu Bo whether acquiring another martial soul later in life was possible. He recognized the shop’s description from an earlier encounter with Meng Shu and Chao Tianxiang and immediately took her there, reaching its location near the Star Dou Great Forest after a three-hour flight 19.

At the shop, she learned about Heavenly Evolution City and the accomplishments of Dugu Yuan’s parallel-world counterpart. Dugu Bo hoped that the counterpart’s martial-soul evolution methods could remedy the flaws affecting both himself and his granddaughter. No successful cure for Dugu Yan is documented in these chapters 20 26.

Seeking Justice for Dugu Bo

Dugu Yan witnessed Lin Yue describe an avoided future in which Tang San exploited Dugu Bo’s friendship, took much of his immortal-herb collection, and ultimately left him with a miserable fate. After she and her grandfather acquired second martial souls, they returned to Heaven Dou City 22.

When Yu Tianheng mentioned that Tang San belonged to Shrek, Dugu Yan seized the opportunity to seek permission for a match. Her purpose was not simply to test Shrek’s strength: she intended to punish Tang San on her grandfather’s behalf, despite the events Lin Yue described not yet having occurred 22 26.

Before leaving for Suotuo City, she returned to the shop with Dugu Bo. Huo Lie gave her a breakthrough ticket as a gesture of friendship toward her grandfather, while Dugu Bo supplied the adaptive ten-thousand-year soul ring and One-Word Battle Armor he had drawn 23.

Victory over Shrek

For the match against the Shrek Seven Devils, Dugu Yan supplied her team with enhancement meals and instructed them to focus their attacks on Tang San. After Yu Tianheng was exhausted and knocked back, she revealed her ten-thousand-year fourth soul skill and restored him with a soul-power potion 26.

When Shrek continued to resist, she activated part of her battle armor and eliminated Ning Rongrong and Shrek’s female agility attacker. She also deflected Tang San’s poisoned Sleeve Arrow, accused him of stealing his hidden-weapon techniques, and openly challenged Yu Xiaogang’s expertise. The Imperial Fighting Team ultimately eliminated all seven opponents 27.

Afterward, she told Qin Ming that her gains were an ancestral Dugu family secret. Once he and Yu Tianheng left, she disclosed the Mysterious Shop to her remaining teammates and explicitly forbade them from informing Yu Tianheng. Their subsequent reports to their families prompted several Heaven Dou clans to investigate the shop 27 30.

Tang Hao’s Attack

Tang Hao ambushed Dugu Yan after the match and demanded her armor. Dugu Bo intervened before he could seize her, then redirected Tang Hao’s attention toward the shop and led him there 27 28.

When Tang Hao demanded her opportunities from Lin Yue, the shopkeeper immobilized him and reduced him to level 89. With the threat resolved, Dugu Yan returned to the Arena to train against its Random AI 28.

Publicity Campaign and Breakup

Dugu Yan proposed that young customers demonstrate their newly acquired twin martial souls at Soul Fighting Arenas to overcome public disbelief in the shop’s flyers. Lin Yue rewarded the idea with an Adaptive Origin Hundred Thousand Year Soul Ring Scroll. Six days later, the young participants departed in seven publicity teams 32.

By the time she returned from Suotuo City, she had ended her relationship with Yu Tianheng. He later followed her and Feng Xiaotian through a rune-covered doorway while they were heading to an Arena spar. When he questioned her about Feng Xiaotian, she firmly stated that they were no longer involved and entered a Game Pod 38 39.

Learning about his avoided mistreatment turns that concern into a determined desire to retaliate against Tang San 19 22.

She is skeptical but curious: although the flyer contradicts everything she knows about martial souls, she still investigates its claims. Her later publicity proposal directly addresses that same skepticism in other prospective customers 19 32.

She can be cutting and uncompromising when disappointed. Yu Tianheng’s defense of Yu Xiaogang contributes to her doubts about their relationship, and she deliberately excludes him from information about the shop. Once she ends the relationship, she refuses to accept his continued questioning of her private life 27 39.
