"Rita is my owner."
Shiro's tone remained completely flat, yet it was as if a blizzard had swept through the gradually cooling weather.
The middle-aged officer's expression turned serious at once.
"Wait a moment. Her way of thinking is a little abnormal."
Rita hurriedly stepped in.
"Hm?"
"Rita said I was like a doll she could play with however she wanted. She wanted to put a collar around my neck, strip off my clothes, and make me crawl around on the floor." Shiro held the cat-ear hair clip, looking weak and pitiful. Her timid words made it all the more convincing.
"W-Wait, I didn't say that..."
But Rita did not sound very confident, because she really had said it. Still, it had only been a joke. It was not as though she had actually done anything like that to her.
It had to be said that Shiina Mashiro's way of thinking was incredibly unique, but other people did not understand that. Not only did the middle-aged officer's expression change, but even the young officer beside him looked far more serious, so...
"You three, come with me."
The middle-aged officer's face had completely darkened. If he had previously thought they were merely fooling around, then the matter had now become far too serious.
"Shiro... you're really evil, aren't you?"
Rita helplessly rubbed her forehead as she looked at the innocent-looking Shiina Mashiro beside her, who seemed not to realize at all what an outrageous thing she had just said.
Still, there was no way they were going to the police station.
So... Rita's expression suddenly turned serious. Her wine-red eyes fixed on the two officers before her, carrying a strange power that drew their gazes in despite themselves.
"Ignore this. Nothing happened here."
Once she saw that the two had fallen
