I Refuse to Be a Valkyrie!

Why did it seem like no one mentioned it?

Could it be because she was the protagonist?

Void Blade

The moonlight shone silver-white, bathing every corner of the mountainside.

Under the moonlight, a beautiful woman with crimson cherry-blossom-colored hair stood outside a dilapidated shrine. She wore a simple yet exquisite white-and-red outfit.

"Does it fit?"

Kikyo stepped out of the shrine and looked at Yae Sakura standing in the moonlight. It seemed to suit her quite well.

"Mm, it fits pretty well."

Yae Sakura turned her head at the words. If not for the extra pair of ears on her head, she would have looked like a genuine shrine maiden.

Those long ears were rather distracting, though.

"As long as it fits! Take this cloak. You barely have any demonic power in you, so as long as you cover your ears, no one should notice that you're a Half-Demon."

As she spoke, Kikyo handed Yae Sakura a cloak she had apparently gotten from somewhere. Then... she turned around and prepared to return to the shrine.

"Thank you..."

Yae Sakura took the cloak and thanked Kikyo's retreating figure.

Kikyo paused upon hearing her, then continued back into the shrine.

Yae Sakura picked up the Witch of the Fallen outfit she had changed out of. She certainly would not throw it away; instead, she placed it directly into her inventory space.

Though it was already late at night, Yae Sakura was not sleepy in the slightest. Instead, she eagerly inspected the items and equipment in her inventory.

Just like on her account, it was packed with weapons, Stigmata, and items whose uses she still did not know.

However... the weapons and Stigmata equipped by the Valkyries no longer appeared in the inventory as they had in the game.

Only unequipped ones remained.

There was also a five-star katana in the inventory: Void Blade!

Only Yae Sakura and Mei used katanas, and both of their Valkyrie forms basically had their own signature weapons.

Void Blade, on the other hand, was a spare. Sometimes, it was more useful than the other weapons.

That was why it had not been kept equipped on the Valkyries.

Yae Sakura took out Void Blade. It was an entirely dark-blue katana, its blade shaped like two snakes biting each other's tails, forming the symbol of infinity.

Now that she had left the game, Yae Sakura was not sure whether the weapon increased her attributes, but the difference between using a weapon and fighting unarmed was still enormous.

And just like in the game, the weapon came with its own skills.

First was the ability of Spirit Blade...

Damage dealt to humans was reduced by 50%, while damage dealt to non-human creatures increased by 100%.
