As for kindhearted yokai, Yae Sakura generally ignored them.

Otherwise, ten thousand yokai would have been cleared out long ago.

What puzzled Yae Sakura, though, was that despite her fame having grown so much, why hadn't the Main Mission been completed yet?

When Kikyo and Yae Sakura, along with a third person, arrived in front of the temple, a young monk saw them and immediately rushed forward with a look of urgency.

Upon hearing this, Kikyo didn't hesitate and followed the young monk into the temple with Yae Sakura.

"Yuanzheng, you're already severely injured, yet you dare to block us with your life! Damnable!"

In the center of the temple stood a seven to eight-meter-tall golden pagoda. Within it, an endless black mist swirled, and dark, enraged voices roared, desperate to break free.

The golden pagoda trembled incessantly, as if it could shatter at any moment.

"Amitabha!"

An old monk with short, flat white hair sat cross-legged before the golden pagoda, continuously striking a wooden fish. Golden light seemed to emanate from him, suppressing the pagoda.

Suddenly... the old monk's face turned pale, and he spat out a mouthful of blood.

The action of striking the wooden fish stopped.
