Bibi Dong lay at the bottom of the crater, her purple-and-gold robes in tatters and bloody marks covering her body.

Breathing heavily, she struggled to brace a hand against the ground and rose to one knee.

Gui Mei spoke, his voice hoarse. "I've followed you for years. Whatever you told me to do, I did, without ever a word of objection."
Bibi Dong still did not turn around.
"Ha ha ha!"
Gui Mei suddenly laughed, a self-mocking laugh.
"Who could have imagined that I, Gui Mei, who devoted my life to Spirit Hall, bending my back in tireless service for decades, would actually be abandoned by Spirit Hall's Pope?"
With those words, Gui Mei turned and walked toward the Body Sect.
"From this day forward."
"I, Gui Mei, leave Spirit Hall!!"
