Most of Spirit Hall's many policies benefited commoners, so most commoner Soul Masters supported Spirit Hall.
Tang San himself was a commoner Soul Master and had received Spirit Hall's subsidies throughout his childhood. Although most of the money for those subsidies came from the two great empires, neither empire would have provided it without Spirit Hall.
There was also Martial Soul Awakening. Spirit Hall had always awakened Martial Souls for commoners across the entire continent free of charge.
Tang San had seen all of this.
Given his temperament, if he settled his grudges in the future, he would only seek out those who had surrounded and attacked Tang Hao and his wife back then. He would never implicate the innocent.
Of course, Yu Xiaogang had his own selfish reasons, but that was human nature. Who could be without them?
Yu Xiaogang gathered his thoughts and told Liu Erlong, "I won't stand in the way of avenging Tang Hao, but I'll let Xiao San judge for himself who should be killed and who shouldn't."
Bibi Dong had taken no part whatsoever in surrounding and attacking Tang Hao and his wife. Strictly speaking, Tang Hao even owed Bibi Dong his thanks. After all, strictly speaking, Qian Xunji...
Had not died by his hand!
"Hey, now that you've gotten stronger, Yu Xiaogang, and Erlong has broken through to Soul Douluo, just how powerful would our Golden Sacred Dragon Martial Soul Fusion Skill be?"
Flender rubbed his chin.
Yu Xiaogang smiled. "Want to know? We can try it when we get the chance."
The three followed the village road back to the academy gates. Something suddenly occurred to Yu Xiaogang, and he turned toward Flender. "Speaking of which, have you thought over what I mentioned in my letter?"
Flender choked, the smile on his face stiffening for a moment. "All right, all right, how could I possibly refuse? I'll bring everyone from Shrek to Heaven Dou City and join your Blue Tyrant Academy. Happy now?"
Liu Erlong teased him with a smile. "Would I ever give you a raw deal at Blue Tyrant Academy, Boss Fu? If you still want to be dean, I could even hand my title over to you."
"Oh, there's no need for that."
Flender hurriedly waved his hands. "Little Sister Erlong, you're a Soul Douluo now. Having you in charge gives us more prestige."
"All right, then you'll be Vice Dean, Boss Fu."
"What about Yu Xiaogang?"
Yu Xiaogang smiled. "I've always just held a nominal teaching position, giving the occasional lesson and enjoying the leisure."
Flender clicked his tongue twice. "You really do have it easy."
The night passed without incident.
Early the next morning, everyone at Shrek Academy gathered on the field.
Besides the seven students-Tang San, Xiao Wu, Dai Mubai, Oscar, Ma Hongjun, Ning Rongrong, and Zhu Zhuqing-all the teachers were present as well: Flender, Zhao Wuji, Li Yusong, Lu Qibin, and Shao Xin.
Standing before them, Flender cleared his throat and announced loudly, "Starting today, all of Shrek Academy will relocate to Heaven Dou City and officially join Blue Tyrant Academy!"
Zhao Wuji had already prepared himself for this and nodded.
Li Yusong and Lu Qibin exchanged a glance. Flender had informed them beforehand, so naturally, neither objected.
They were getting older now, and staying holed up in this little village was hardly a long-term solution.
They could retire at Blue Tyrant Academy, where the surroundings were countless times better than this shabby village.
There was little to pack at the academy. They could leave whenever they wished.
That morning, the group simply packed their belongings, left the village in a sizable procession, and set off toward Heaven Dou City.
They spent two days on the road, arriving travel-worn and dusty.
When the towering Heaven Dou City came into view, Ma Hongjun stared from afar, his eyes widening. "Wow! This is Heaven Dou City? This is my first time here! It's so much bigger than Suotuo City!"
He scanned the pedestrians on either side of the street. Something soon caught his eye, and he blurted out, "Boss Dai, beauties! So many beauties!"
Clonk!
Dai Mubai withdrew the hand he had used to knock Ma Hongjun on the head. "You don't have to tell me."
Ning Rongrong and Xiao Wu walked ahead arm in arm, while Zhu Zhuqing followed behind the others.
Before long, the group reached Blue Tyrant Academy's main gates.
Built against the mountain, the academy was magnificent. Though it could not match Heaven Dou Royal Academy in size, its grounds were still extensive.
Inside, green trees cast deep shade over tidy paths. Several teaching buildings stood artfully spaced among the trees, and in the distance, a lake on Back Mountain shimmered in the sunlight.
Looking at the imposing gates and campus, Dai Mubai, Oscar, and Ma Hongjun nearly burst into tears on the spot.
Dai Mubai turned toward Flender, hesitating to speak.
"What kind of miserable lives have we been living?"
Flender pretended not to notice and strode through the gates with his hands behind his back.
There was nothing he could do. It was not as though he had never wanted to make the academy more impressive.
He simply had no money...
Liu Erlong soon assigned everyone their respective positions.
Flender became Vice Dean, Zhao Wuji took charge of practical combat instruction, Li Yusong and Lu Qibin managed logistics and finances respectively, and Shao Xin took charge of cooking in the dining hall.
Shao Xin had volunteered for his position. Powerful though he was, he still preferred being a cook.
There was no other reason. He just liked cooking.
The students were added directly to Blue Tyrant Academy's enrollment register and moved into spacious, bright dormitories, with two to a room and private bathrooms.
Once everything was settled, Yu Xiaogang led Tang San and the other two across the campus to the familiar little garden on Back Mountain.
Dugu Yan was cultivating beside the flowerbeds. Seeing Yu Xiaogang arrive, she hurriedly stopped and came over to greet him.
"Teacher, you're back!"
Dugu Yan called out sweetly, then noticed Ning Rongrong behind Yu Xiaogang and tilted her head.
"Who's this?"
Yu Xiaogang introduced her with a smile. "Yanyan, this is your new junior sister, Ning Rongrong."
Ning Rongrong stepped forward. "Hello, Sister Yanyan. I'm Ning Rongrong. Please look after me from now on."
Dugu Yan froze for a moment, then her eyes lit up. She bounded over to Ning Rongrong in two steps. "Hello, little junior sister! From now on, you're my junior sister!"
Seeing how happy she was, Ning Rongrong smiled as well. "You're so pretty, Sister Yanyan."
"Oh, not at all!"
The compliment left Dugu Yan a little embarrassed. Watching the two chat so happily, Tang San and Xiao Wu exchanged smiles. Xiao Wu leaned close to Tang San's ear and whispered, "Yanyan has been hoping for a junior sister for so long. Look how happy she is."
Tang San nodded with a smile. "She used to be the youngest junior. Now she finally has a junior sister of her own. Of course she's happy."
Of course, "youngest" here did not refer to age. In terms of age, Dugu Yan was actually the oldest.
The key was that she had become their teacher's disciple last.
Although they were all of the same generation, strictly speaking, she had to address Tang San and Xiao Wu as senior brother and senior sister.
Yu Xiaogang smiled and glanced toward the distant roadside.
He lifted his gaze to signal Liu Erlong.
Liu Erlong understood at once.
Yu Xiaogang then walked over. A beautiful figure dressed in black stood there, quietly watching them.
