Liu Erlong was watering flowers in the backyard.
She was singing the lilting song Yu Xiaogang had written for her,
when she heard the commotion out front.
She slammed the watering can in her hand down on the ground.
Of course she knew who the students meant by the demon king: none other than the fellow who had fought a Soul Saint as a Soul King and ground Blue Tyrant Academy's face into the dirt.
"What's he here for?"
"To challenge us again?"
Liu Erlong spoke through gritted teeth.
The hatred in her eyes was almost spilling out.
She strode into the front courtyard, which was now packed with Blue Tyrant Academy students. Everyone's eyes were fixed on the two figures in the very center: one was the demon king they were wailing about, and the other was Tai Long, the chief student who had always liked laying down rules at Blue Tyrant Academy.
Tai Long lay like a dead dog at Lu Ning's feet, crying and wailing without stopping.
He had been absent when Lu Ning previously came to Blue Tyrant Academy.
And Lu Ning had changed a great deal as well.
He had not recognized him at all.
Only now,
after Lu Ning dragged him to Blue Tyrant Academy, did he truly realize whom he had offended.
"What is the meaning of this?!"
Liu Erlong stood at the very front, her eyes sizing Lu Ning up before looking at Tai Long lying on the ground. The anger in her voice was plainly impossible to conceal.
Lu Ning's tone was calm. "He was pestering my girlfriend and insulted me, saying he wanted to be my grandfather. Is there a problem with me beating him up?"
Tai Long buried his face against the floor, not daring to raise his head
